And the nominees are…

The nominees for the 58th Annual CMA Awards have been released today, and Morgan Wallen leads the pack with seven nominations in total.

Coming in right behind him is Chris Stapleton and Cody Johnson with five each, and reigning entertainer of the year Lainey Wilson comes in with four, tying with Post Malone who received his first-ever CMA nods.

There will be a tight race for the coveted Entertainer of the Year Award, as Lainey Wilson is nominated again alongside Luke Combs, Jelly Roll, Chris Stapleton and Morgan Wallen. Deeper Well, Fathers & Sons, Higher, Whitsitt Chapel and Leather will compete for album of the year (if you don’t see one of your favorites on the list, it might be because it missed the eligibility period for this years show).

For the first time in 17 years, Miranda Lambert failed to receive a Female Vocalist of the year nomination, and Kacey Musgraves is back in that category for the first time in five years.

The CMA Awards will air live on November 20th on ABC live event at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, with a host still to be announced.
