Luke Bryan’s Son, Bo, Gets Offer From University Of Georgia To Play Football

One of Luke Bryan’s boys could be headed to the University of Georgia.

The country music star and his wife, Caroline, have two boys: Thomas “Bo” and Tatum “Tate” Bryan. The older of the two, Bo, is currently a senior in high school, and all signs point towards him being quite the athlete. He’s currently enrolled at the Battle Ground Academy in Franklin, Tennessee, where he plays baseball, football and competes on the wrestling team.

The 6-foot-1 QB is a three-star recruit, and is ranked the No. 141 quarterback in the nation.

He’s set to graduate next year in 2027, and it’s looking like Bo Bryan is going to try and continue his football career at the collegiate level. Bo Bryan has already taken unofficial visits to both South Carolina and Georgia. Luke Bryan is known to be a big time Georgia Bulldogs fan, so there could be a connection there. Then with South Carolina, Bo could have an in thanks to Battle Ground head coach Bobby Bentley, who used to be an assistant for the Gamecocks.

There’s still plenty of time for Bo Bryan to figure out where he might be able to continue his football playing career. And it’s cool to see that the son of Luke Bryan decided to carve out his own path, rather than follow in his dad’s footsteps and pursue music. But there’s no doubt that Bo is appreciative for the connection to Georgia that his dad might have carved out for him.

He just got an official offer from the Bulldogs:

“After a great call with Coach Mike Bobo, I am blessed to receive an offer from the University of Georgia. Go Dawgs!!”

That official offer is the latest in a long line of colleges reaching out to let Bo know they’d love to have him join their football programs. Austin Peay, North Alabama, UT Martin, Tennessee Tech, EKU and ETSU have all laid offers out on the table for Bo. But obviously, the University of Georgia is the biggest school out of all of those to recruit Bryan.

And it’s arguably the university that Bo – and his father – have dreamed of getting an offer from for quite some time.

The only hiccup is that, this past weekend, during the first quarter of BGA’s tilt against Pope St. John Paul II, Bo Bryan was sacked and broke his collarbone. He’s since had surgery and is on the road to recovery, and wrote this the day after it happened.

“Broke my collarbone last night. Thank you, everyone, for your thoughts and prayers. We will be back. I thought it was just a stinger when I hit the ground. Once I got up I knew something was wrong. When I got to the sideline, I really knew something was wrong.”

It was an unfortunate injury, especially considering that Bo had thrown for 2,006 yards and 30 touchdowns (with only three interceptions) this season. But I’d imagine the son of Luke Bryan is also grateful to still receive the offer from the Georgia Bulldogs even after suffering a broken collarbone.

And there’s no doubt that Luke Bryan is fired up about the opportunity for his son.
