She got her wings.
Last night, Megan Moroney performed at the 2026 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in Culver City, California, and she became only the second country artist in history to grace the iconic runway stage, taking part in an all-female musical lineup that also featured Megan Thee Stallion, Tate McRae, and KATSEYE. Kelsea Ballerini has also performed for it, as has Taylor Swift though that was after she started transitioning into pop.
Megan performed three songs in”6 Months Later” “Wish I Didn’t” and “Sorry… I Meant Tonight,” and she had on the iconic angel wings, donning an entirely-pink outfit that is perfect for her continuing Cloud 9 era.
She looked absolutely stunning:
But some fans were not too pleased with her performance, as there were times during it that Megan would walk around the stage directly in front of where the models were walking, causing them to have to redirect their path a little bit. There were a few times the models had to dodge her wings, and it did look a little disjointed to be honest.
Surely they had a rehearsal before this and Megan walking around like that was part of it all, but maybe it just didn’t work right for the live show. Videos of the models ducking or dodging while coming down the runway during Megan’s performance have been going viral online now and people were not loving it:

They took issue with not only the fact that Megan was wearing wings, which had been something reserved for only the models back during the heyday of this show (though all the other performers wore them last night too), but that she seemed to be walking all over, directly in the path of where the models were coming down.
I certainly don’t think it was on purpose by any means, but people definitely took notice… and the comments were rather unkind:
“And this is exactly why performers aren’t supposed to be wearing wings.”
“She was in the way and Katseye were literally stomping on each other’s feet. Tate however was a flawless professional.”
“Country music did not give bombshell vibes.”
“There was some models didn’t even get the screen time, camera was always on her wth.”
“Personally, she annoyed me.”
“The way she snapped her neck to avoid her wing. I’m crying.”
“She keeps moving and coming back to the center. Like I was irritated I couldn’t see the other models.”
“I’m so glad I’m not the only one who has issues with this performance.”
“I just don’t know what the performers are wearing wings? Like in the earlier shows they never had wings and it doesn’t make sense cause they will obviously be moving around so the wings are gonna be a huge disturbance for the models.”
“I was so annoyed, she blocks so many of the models.”
“She pissed me off so bad.”
“I did find out that they had to training to see how the models will walk and where there will be walking, so she knew.”
“It felt like she was trying to take away all the spotlight from the models.”
“Honestly she annoyed me.”
“In old Victoria’s Secret wings were reserve only for angel and not all models, only who have work real hard for them. Now wings, fantasy bra, swaroski set, opening and closing the show has lost their exclusivity.”

“Tbh I didn’t feel like her music matched the vibe.”

It’s really not the end of the world by any stretch of the imagination, but the internet is the internet and alas, here we are…
I thought she was a great choice as a performer, she fits the whole Victoria’s Secret vibe so well, but maybe next time she might want to wear smaller wings if she’s going to be traversing the stage so everyone can get the job done effortlessly. At the same time, why have musical performers at all if they’re not supposed to be drawing any attention?
Also, it goes without saying but a ton of the comments are just people who are mad because she is a country music singer and they ignorantly associate that all these negative “isms.” Some comments even alluded to the notion that “country music wasn’t chic enough for high fashion” and there were a handful of other comments about Megan and Tate McRae being “MAGA” performers… so pretty safe to say, a whole lotta morons on the internet… shocker.
