Not good.
This evening, Ella Langley was forced to cancel her concert in Tulsa, Oklahoma slated for the BOK Center due to what is being described as “a serious security threat.” She says additional information, as well as refund information, will be shared as soon as possible:
“Due to a serious security threat involving the safety of fans, venue personnel, and the artist, Ella Langley’s scheduled performance tonight at BOK Center in Tulsa has been canceled.
The safety and well-being of everyone involved is our absolute priority, and after careful consideration, we have determined that the show cannot proceed. We understand the disappointment this news brings and apologize to fans who planned to attend. The safety of fans is our foremost concert and will always come first.
Additional information and details regarding ticket refunds will be shared as soon as possible. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we prioritize the safety of all involved.”
Ella shared the news in a post on Instagram, saying she is very, very sorry for having to do this, noting that she knows “much time, travel, money, and planning goes into coming to a show.” We all know it takes a lot, so I’m sure fans will understandably be disappointed, but safety always comes first.
She added that the decision was not made lightly, and of course, there was a lot of input from local authorities as well as her own personal security team:
“Due to a serious security threat involving the safety of my fans, the venue staff, and my team, the incredibly difficult decision was made to cancel tonight’s show. This decision was made under the advisement of local authorities, the venue, and my security team.
I know how much time, travel, money, and planning goes into coming to a show, and I can’t tell you how sorry I am. This is not a decision that was made lightly. I was so looking forward to spending tonight with you, but your safety will always mean more to me than anything else. I refuse to put anyone in harm’s way.”
I know she would never do this so last minute if it wasn’t very serious, and while there’s no word on what the specific threat is, the priority is her safety and the safety of all fans, and that will always be the most important thing, and I’m sure she will be back to make it up to her fans when it’s safe to do so.

Ella’s Record-Breaking Year
As we near the end of the year, it’s becoming increasingly clear that 2026 will go down as the year of Ella Langley. Simply put, it’s hard to argue that she’s not just the hottest star in country music, but as music as a whole.
If you’ve been paying close attention within the genre over the years, it was more than apparent that the Alabama native was bound to be a star, catching early buzz with tracks like “Country Boy’s Dream Girl,” “paint the town blue” and “That’s Why We Fight” with Koe Wetzel. With that being said, however, I don’t think anyone could have predicted the world-dominating, record-smashing success she’s had recently.
Launching off the success of her Riley Green collaboration, “you look like you love me” throughout 2024 and 2025, as well as other hits such as “weren’t for the wind,” the Alabama native has become nothing short of a phenomenon thanks to the megahit that is “Choosin’ Texas,” And, in turn, she has captured the hearts of nearly everyone in the country and the world over the past year.
Since its release on October 17th, it is now the longest-running #1 hit by a female artist this century, the only country song by a woman to triple up and go #1 on Billboard’s Hot 100, Hot Country and Country Airplay charts simultaneously. In case that wasn’t enough, thanks to the success of her sophomore album, Dandelion, which debuted at #1 on the all-genre Billboard 200 and sold 169,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in its first week, Langley became just the second woman in history to hold the #1 album and song in the U.S. simultaneously with a country song/album.
Two weeks ago, she made U.S. history by officially capturing the longest-running #1 hit in U.S. history with 23 weeks (now 24), passing Mariah Carey’s long-standing record of 22 atop the all-genre Billboard Hot 100, and her record year continues as she adds more certifications and records to her catalog.
