Cruising down to Myrtle Beach.
Carolina Country Music Fest announced their first headliner for the 2027 edition of the festival, revealing that Florida Georgia Line will be bringing their recently-announced Anything Goes Again Tour to the shores of Myrtle Beach.
Of course FGL famously announced their split back in 2021, but have since rekindled their relationship amid demand and a growing sense of nostalgia that still surrounds their brand of summertime country music.
Earlier this week the duo of Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard announced their first official headlining appearance, which will come next April at Stagecoach. And then yesterday, FGL announced they would be embarking on a 12-stop headlining tour of still-to-be-announced festival dates.
Speaking on the reunion, Hubbard said the band has already felt the excitement from fans as they gear up to return to the stage:
“There’s so much history and so many great memories wrapped up in FGL. Seeing the fans get excited about us being back together and hearing how much these songs still mean to them has been really special. We’ve felt a lot of love, and it feels good to be back up there together and sharing these songs with everybody again.”
And Kelley says it’s been easy to pick up where the band left off a few years ago:
“These songs have taken on a life of their own over the years, and getting back onstage together really reminded me of that. Hearing the crowd sing every word and feeling that energy again was pretty incredible. We picked right back up where we left off, and there’s definitely something special about getting to do this again.”
Carolina Country Music Fest marks the band’s first main stage headlining performance that’s been announced so far, in addition to their late night set at Stagecoach. And if you’ve ever been to the annual festival in Myrtle Beach, you know what a party it’s going to be.
Last year was my first time at the festival after years of going to Myrtle Beach growing up, and it’s all you can ask for in a music festival. Steps away from the beach, centrally located right in the heart of downtown Myrtle Beach, and a TON to do once you get inside the festival gates – everything from honky tonks and cornhole tournaments to IV stations and massages.
The festival, which runs June 10-13, 2027, has been teasing their headliners this week, with FGL the first big announcement to drop. And it’s clear from the comments on the post just how excited people are already:
“I’m crying tears of joy”
“So excited to see y’all in Myrtle”
“Got my tickets today!”
“This will heal our country”
I mean, FGL on the beach kind of just feels right.
