Boldly proclaiming her faith once again.
There’s no doubt that the two years has been nothing short of an absolute whirlwind for Ella Langley. While most of the music world was introduced to her through the record-breaking success of “Choosin’ Texas” over the past three months, the Alabama native has been making waves in the genre for the better part of three years at this point.
As most country fans know, before “Choosin’ Texas” became the third-longest-running #1 hit on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100 (18 weeks and counting), the only country song by a woman to triple up and go #1 on Billboard’s Hot 100, Hot Country and Country Airplay chart simultaneously and just the seventh country song solely recorded by a woman to go #1 on the Hot 100 in the history of the chart, Langley scored massive success with the likes of her Riley Green-collaboration, “you look like you love me” as well as “weren’t for the wind.”
During the time period before “Choosin’ Texas,” however, Langley was fighting her own personal battles. Famously, she’d open up shortly after the 2025 ACM Awards, where she brought home four trophies on the night, noting that the week was one of the hardest mental health weeks she has had in a long time.
“I won’t lie, this last week has been probably one of the toughest mental health weeks I’ve had in a long, in a long time. Which is crazy because so many good things are happening, so many things I’ve prayed for and dreamed about. It’s just a struggle, it’s a disease in my family, really. I think it’s important to talk about it and to share that, just because I might seem like that, I’m on top of a mountain right now doesn’t look like that all the time.”
If you’ve been a fan of the “Be Her” singer for a while, you know that these trials and tribulations eventually led to her writing one of Dandelion’s lead singles, “Loving Life Again,” alongside Ernest and Devin Dawson, which she described as the “most sentimental” song she’s written.
Throughout the Dandelion Tour, the Alabama native has been making it a point to deliver powerful gospel messages before each and every performance of the track, with many of her speeches going viral on TikTok as of late.
Over the weekend, Langley performed in Little Rock, Arkansas, to a sold-out crowd at Simmons Bank Arena. During a night that included a surprise appearance from none other than Drake in the crowd, she once again delivered another powerful message proclaiming her faith.

Here, she’d address the fact that she grew up poor in her hometown of Hope Hull, Alabama, noting that she had nothing but a “massive dream.” Langley would then touch on the doubt that she has faced throughout her life and even until this day, with her peace of mind coming from her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
“As a kid from a small town that didn’t have no money, no nothing, no opportunity, no nothing but just a massive dream, let me tell you. When you believe in yourself, God does wonderful things.
“There’s been a lot of times. I mean, still, ’til this day, I have moments where I feel like, ‘I don’t know if I’m good enough for this. I don’t know if I can mentally understand what’s happening in my life — if this is the thing I’m gonna do. But then there’s that little voice in the back of my head that tells me, ‘You are good enough. You can do this thing, and this is what I ask you to do. By whom do I mean it? Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I can’t be anything but grateful.”
From there, she’d dive into the background of “Loving Life Again.” After explaining that reading the Bible daily during her aforementioned time off was what got her through it, it was here that she understood all the blessings she’s received. Additionally, she’d note that she believes that the enemy (the Devil) wants to take all your blessings away.
“On this next song, right before I wrote it, I took a couple weeks off because I felt like I was in one of those spaces in my life where I was down. I didn’t know if I could do it; I didn’t know if I was mentally capable. I didn’t know if I was good enough. I had all these doubts.
I took those couple weeks off, and within those couple weeks, all I did was read my Bible. And I sat there and thought about, ‘Wow, look at all the blessings in my life. Look at all the blessings in my life! I think that’s something the enemy tries to take from you — is all the blessings in your life. I think there are so many wonderful things we can sit here and look at, and then the enemy is gonna be like, ‘But, but, but.’ But no. This is amazing; this is absolutely amazing!”
Finally, she’d wrap up by encouraging everyone in the crowd to chase their dreams, calling the crowd “perfectly” made in His image.
“So if you’re in here tonight and you have a dream of some sort — it doesn’t matter if you’re doing what I’m doing — it matters what you do and what you’re doing. You’re calling for who you are because we’re made perfectly and the way we were supposed to be. I want you to remember. If you feel that tug at your chest — you feel that tug at something that you want to do — do it. Let me tell you, it pays off.”
You truly cannot help but love Ella Langley. In addition to being a torchbearer for the genre and women in country music, she’s been nothing short of a light in the darkness of today’s world. Despite country music being steeped in faith, there are few superstars who are using their platform to the extent she is to share her testimony and her faith journey.
