Kacey Musgraves Debuts Disco… Balls On Her ‘Middle Of Nowhere’ Tour

Kacey Musgraves is really going all in with the sexual innuendos for her Middle of Nowhere Tour.

The country music artist has certainly went all in on the theming of her latest album, Middle of Nowhere. The rollout for the record was a whole lot of fun, to say the least. In case you missed it, Musgraves put up billboards all over the place asking questions like, “Dry Spell?” or “Horny?” with further instructions to “call for a real good time” leading up to the release of her project.

Doesn’t take much imagination to figure out what she means by “Dry Spell.”

That was one of the many songs on Middle of Nowhere that really let the world know about Musgraves’ current situation (she’s said it’s the “longest single period of her life”). Other tracks like “Mexico Honey” and “Loneliest Girl” have helped convey the message, and now she’s bringing all of those provocative love (?) songs out on the road with openers like Midland, Carter Faith, Flatland Cavalry, Charles Wesley Godwin, Gabriella Rose, William Beckmann, Estevie and The Brudi Brothers.

And in Kacey’s most recent tour stop at the United Center in Chicago, she revealed a stage prop that… well, I’m not sure the world has ever seen before. I’m sure you’ve heard of a disco ball before, right? Well, Kacey decided to take that idea a step further and rode around on a set of disco balls:

That’s certainly something.

Say what you want about Musgraves, but she’s really bringing the shock factor with every aspect of Middle of Nowhere. If you are in need of more evidence, the country singer announced earlier this week that she was partnering with wellness brand Medicine Mama to launch her own “intimate care” product called Drought Drops, inspired by her song “Dry Spell.”

The horny song (there’s no other way to describe it) that dropped back in March found Kacey reflecting on her own sexual frustrations (A.K.A. she wasn’t getting any):

It’s been a real long three-hundred and thirty-five days
And the last time, it wasn’t good anyway
I’m so lonely, lonely with a capital ‘H’
If you know what I mean, I’ve been sitting on the washing machine”

The lube is a take on Medicine Mama’s own lubricant Intimate Glide, but features Kacey’s own flirty branding and special-edition packaging. And I suppose it pairs very well with disco balls.
