“Mr. Saturday Night” is hitting the road this fall.
Jon Pardi has always been one of those artists who don’t get enough credit in today’s country world. As an artist firmly planted in the mainstream, he’s scored plenty of #1s throughout his career, namely with smash hits like “Head Over Boots,” “Dirt On My Boots” and “Heartache on the Dancefloor.” However, when you take a look at his discography as a whole, you quickly realize that Pardi is one of the last remaining traditionalists in the genre who still frequently receives mainstream attention.
Whether it’s his underrated gem of an album, Heartache Medication, or his breakout sophomore effort, California Sunrise, which recently celebrated its 10-year anniversary, or his most recent release, Honkytonk Hollywood, it’s been more than apparent that Pardi is one of the most successful commercial artists who’s still dedicated to preserving a classic country sound.
If you’re looking to see him bring his signature traditional sound live in concert this fall, you’re in luck. Announced this morning, Pardi is hitting the road in amphitheaters and arenas across the country on his brand new, 19-show Gamblin’ Man Tour.
The Gamblin‘ Man Tour will kick off on September 17th in Richmond, Virginia, at Allianz Amphitheatre before wrapping up on November 14th in Independence, Missouri at Cable Dahmer Arena. Along the way, the “Can’t Turn You Down” singer will hit the likes of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Athens, Georgia, Charleston, West Virginia, Laredo, Texas and more throughout the jam-packed three-month stretch.
As for openers, Pardi is keeping it simple and calling upon red-hot up-and-comers, Alexandra Kay and Sadie Bass, as support throughout the entirety of the tour.
Presale begins tomorrow, July 21st, at 10:00 a.m. local time, with general sale opening to the public on Friday, July 24th, at 10:00 AM local.
As previously mentioned, Pardi has remained one of the last traditionalists in the mainstream over the past decade, and he wears it on his sleeve during each and every concert, providing heavy doses of fiddle and steel throughout. Having seen him multiple times over the years, I can confidently say he puts on a great show each and every time. If he’s in your city, you will not want to miss him.
