Going to have plenty to keep him busy this summer amid the divorce.

Of course the biggest news in country music this past week came when TMZ first reported that Jelly Roll had filed for divorce from his wife, Bunnie Xo.

Since then we’ve learned that the “Save Me” singer, whose real name is Jason DeFord, filed his complaint in Williamson County Chancery Court back on May 18, requesting a divorce from his wife, whose real name is Alisa DeFord, based on “irreconcilable differences.”

Bunnie dropped an episode of her Dumb Blonde Podcast last week to speak on the divorce dispel many of the rumors that started after the news broke, confirming that nobody cheated and that they still remained friends: In fact, they still plan on having a baby together, despite the fact that they’re separating. But Bunnie also said the decision wasn’t necessarily “mutual,” revealing that it was a fight on Mother’s Day that led to her telling Jelly Roll to “file the divorce papers” out of frustration – and that he did just that.

Jelly also spoke on the separation for the first time during a stop on his Little A– Shed Tour, confirming what Bunnie said on her podcast: That they’re still best friends, despite the fact that they’re getting a divorce.

“I wasn’t going to talk about this tonight, but while we’re talking about liars, the internet is a liar too. …

Me and my wife are best friends. We will always be best friends. We just got off the phone earlier today. Nobody cheated on nobody. She just did a whole podcast about it, you can go watch it, every word of it is the truth.

That will be my best friend forever. This is the only time I will ever speak about it.

Bunnie, I love you baby. Thank you for those 10 years, they were incredible. Thank you for the next 10 years of friendship, and 20 beyond that.”

Jelly is, of course, pretty busy right now. He’s on not one but two tours this summer, headlining his own tour while also opening for Post Malone on his Big A– Stadium Tour Part 2. But apparently that’s not enough for him, because he just picked up another gig: Late-night TV host.

Jimmy Kimmel announced that Jelly Roll is one of several guest hosts who will fill in for him while Kimmel is on vacation this summer – clarifying that this time it’s voluntary while referring to the time that his show was pulled by ABC for his jokes about the assassination of Charlie Kirk:

“I will be taking the next two months off, this time voluntarily.”

Along with Jelly Roll, who will be hosting for two nights, the show will be guest hosted by a rotating cast that includes Tiffany Haddish, Colman Domingo, Ike Barinholtz, and Anthony Anderson – as well as one host that seems to have been chosen in particular to troll President Donald Trump:

“As a special treat for our commander-in-chief, I asked one of his all-time favorites Rosie O’Donnell to be here to keep the hooks coming.”

Thought she said she was never coming back to the United States after Trump won?
