I mean, they’re not wrong…
This past weekend, The King, Mr. George Strait, played a run of shows at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas, where he was welcomed by thousands of fans and played to a sold-out venue. It’s hard to believe he put out his debut album in 1981, 45 years ago this year, and since, then, he has released over 30 platinum or multi-platinum records and charted over 60 #1 singles, becoming one of the most accomplished and beloved country singers of all time.
And while his talent abounds, it’s no secret that the ladies love him for his good looks, which only seem to get better with age. At 74-years-old, he is certainly what we would refer to as a silver fox, and a video from one of the Austin shows of him performing “The Chair” has gone viral because he has the ladies melting.
Of course, the hit single was released in 1985 and finds him telling the story of a clever, flirtatious conversation with a lady at the bar. It’s long been a fan-favorite, and it’s safe to say he’s still got it. I’ve never felt more seen, honestly, and I am not going to even repeat some of the things I said while watching him perform in Clemson a couple weeks ago.
There has never been someone like him and there never will be again, from his looks, to his talent, to the kind of person he is, he’s the total package in every sense of the term:

The fan who captured the video had one of the best seats in the house it looks like, and the girls were going crazy in the comments section, still drooling over him like we have for over four decades now:
