Did Dianna Russini Make A Terrible Playlist For Mike Vrabel After A 4-Game Losing Streak? It Sure Seems Like It

Mike Vrabel Diana Russini

The scandal that keeps on giving.

Every time you think there’s nothing else that can come out about Dianna Russini and current New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel, another layer is peeled back. Just in case you’ve somehow missed out on this story, it all got started when photos, first published by Page Six, surfaced a couple weeks ago showing Vrabel holding hands and lounging in a pool with the reporter on a rooftop in Sedona, Arizona.

Just in case you needed some clarification, Mike Vrabel and Dianna Russsini are both married… and not to each other. The Patriots coach has been married to his wife, Jen Vrabel, since 1999, and the couple have two children together. Russini, meanwhile, has been married to Shake Shack vice president Kevin Goldschmidt since 2020. They also have two children together… and one of them is named Michael. And couple days after Michael was born, Diana tweeted that she was wondering about the best players and coaches in the NFL named Michael. Insane…

Initially, Vrabel and Russini denied any wrongdoing. However, as more and more has come out – like pictures of them kissing at a NYC bar in 2020 – the Patriots head coach started to speak apologetically, and even announced he’d be seeking out counseling (after the first two days of the NFL Draft).

It’s been a truly insane story, but the craziest thing that’s come out of it all just might be this Spotify playlist that social media sleuths unearthed. It appears that Dianna Russini may have created a collection of music called “TURNIN THE PAGE” that was shared with one user and one user only… whose name just so happens to be “Mike.” The kicker? It was created right around the time of a four-game Titans losing streak.

David Covucci, who unearthed the crazy story about UNC spending a zillion dollars on balloons each year, is a great account to follow for bizarre football stories like this, and playlist-gate is just the latest.

She really made him a mixtape…

In case you didn’t want to open that up, I’ve got the playlist transcribed below. There’s not much cohesion to it, musically speaking. It’s a grab bag playlist really, and honestly… it kind of sucks. If I’m an NFL football coach, and one like Mike Vrabel, do I really want to hear Beyonce, Pink, and the Black Eyed Peas on the heels of 4 straight losses? Is that really gonna “turn the page,” Dianna? Or is that going to make me want to jump in front of a bus? I’m thinking the latter…

But… she did throw some classic rock in there at the end, you know… something Mike would actually listen to.

“Big Energy” by Latto

“BREAK MY SOUL” by Beyoncé

“House Party” by Sam Hunt

“My Love” by Route 94

“Pump It Louder” by Tiesto, Black Eyed Peas

“Raise Your Glass” by P!nk

“Bass Down Low” by DEV, The Cataracs

“Can’t Stop” by The Red Hot Chili Peppers

“Last Resort” by Papa Roach

“Welcome to the Jungle” by Guns N’ Roses

“Photograph” by Def Leppard

“God of Thunder” by KISS

“Dance the Night Away” by Van Halen

“Renegade” by STYX

I’m not sure I’d be bumping that playlist…

And if you are thinking that someone just faked that Spotify playlist, there are two points of evidence to look to. One, it appears that the Dianna Russini has now deactivated her Spotify account. And two, a 2023 report from TennesseeTitans.com’s Jim Wyatt pointed out some overlay in Vrabel’s music taste and what was featured on that playlist:

“During the practice session, there was plenty of rock and country music blaring through the speakers. Def Leppard, Guns N’ Roses, AC/DC, Motley Crue, Metallica and even some old school Styx (Renegade) could be heard loud and clear, along with some Bob Seger. There was also plenty of country, from Kenny Chesney to Luke Combs to even Kenny Rogers.”

Coincidence? It’s possible… but sure seems like this playlist was yet another breadcrumb left along the trail leading up to the Mike Vrabel and Dianna Russini scandal breaking.
