SHOCKER… People Are Mad That Ella Langley Is Collaborating With Morgan Wallen

Ella and Morgan

Oh, good Lord…

During Morgan Wallen’s Tuscaloosa, Alabama tour stop this past Saturday, the “Last Night” singer and Ella Langley confirmed that they’ve got a new duet called “I Can’t Love You Anymore” on the way. It’s actually dropping this upcoming Friday, and they shared that news and debuted the song itself at the second weekend of Wallen’s Still the Problem Tour.

And folks… we should have seen it coming.

As it turns out, Ella’s Dandelion album announcement teased the collaboration, and her “Choosin’ Texas” music video even featured a Tennessee license plate (for Morgan Wallen) with the letters “ICLYA.”

It was right there hidden in plain sight.

“I Can’t Love You Anymore”  is the first collab that the pair has released, but it’s not the first time they’ve worked together. Langley was actually one of the openers for Wallen on his I’m the Problem Tour last year. While they were on the road together, Morgan often brought Ella out on stage to join him on his #1 hit “What I Want,” which is a duet with Canadian pop star Tate McRae on his I’m the Problem album.

Speaking of Tate McRae, when she was featured on one of his songs, her fanbase got pretty upset about it. Many people out there are quick to label Morgan Wallen as “MAGA,” and McRae’s fanbase was disappointed that she’d associate herself with the country star. Much like the backlash that McRae experienced when she collaborated with Wallen, not all of Ella’s fans are happy that the “Be Her” singer chose to officially work with Morgan:

It’s so exhausting…. the Morgan Wallen Derangement Syndrome is still going strong.

Please let me know if this is a stretch… I’ve got a feeling that Morgan Wallen and Ella Langley collaborated not because of their political beliefs, but rather because they’ve worked and toured together in the past. Now, one could make an argument that they are two of the hottest artists in all of country music. Seems like as good a time as any to collaborate on a song and release it into the world.

“I Can’t Love You Anymore” drops this Friday. Until then, you can watch this concert video on loop… that is, if you aren’t triggered by it:
