LeAnn Rimes Goes Viral After She Breaks Down Sobbing From Intense, Deep Jaw Release

Maybe everything doesn’t have to go on social media, eh?

Legendary ’90s country star and ‘Nashville 9-1-1’ actress, LeAnn Rimes, is getting real online about her health journey, highlighting how myofascial release has helped her TMJ more than anything else. Last year, LeAnn Rimes shared that she had a career first when her teeth fell out on stage, revealing to fans that she’s had a lot of dental surgeries throughout her life.

While it’s not certain that her TMJ issues are related to those surgeries, the “Blue” singer recently shared online that she’s been working with a fascia specialist, Human Garage, to help her release some tension she’s always felt was in her jaw. Of course, as she notes in a post promoting the clinic, having tension in your jaw is less than ideal when your career requires you to move that joint too to hit certain notes freely.

“For as long as I can remember, my body has held tension like it’s been bracing for something. my jaw, my neck, my shoulders… especially the TMJ. It’s never really let go. And as someone whose voice is literally my instrument, that kind of tightness doesn’t just live in the body; it shows up in how I breathe, how I express, how freely I can sing.

I’ve taken care of myself from so many angles over the years, nutrition, hormones, nervous system work, therapy, supplements. you name it. I’ve gone down a lot of healing paths. but fascia, that was one piece I hadn’t fully explored… that’s when I found Garry Lineham & Human Garage.”

So what is fascial manipulation, and how has working this into Rimes’ health routine helped her? According to Brown University, fascia is a “thin but strong sheet of connective tissue that wraps around and runs through nearly everything inside your body—muscles, bones, organs, nerves, and even blood vessels.” However, as we sustain injuries, your fascia, which once supported your muscles, organs, and bones, can develop hypersensitivity, sending pain signals throughout your body. And in the long run, it can reduce the range of muscle movement, leading to tension that is felt throughout the entire body.

“Injury, repetitive strain, poor posture or lack of movement can lead fascia to lose elasticity, stick to nearby tissues, or form trigger points (tender, painful spots). All of these factors can cause local pain, referred pain (pain that originates in one area but is felt somewhere else), or reduced range of motion.”

For Rimes, this was felt specifically in her jaw, leading her to discover deep jaw release therapy that helps the fascia return to a normal state. Recently, Human Garage shared a video of their team working on Rimes, leading to a very emotional yet healing release video where Rimes breaks down into sobs.

Co-founder Garry Lineham has his hands deep in Rimes’s mouth as he works the fascia, leading to an instant moment of relief, and Rimes begins to sob in shock at the result. After she gasps, “Oh my god,” Lineham instructs her to say, “Say that part of my life is over,” to which Rimes replies, “That part of my life better be over.”

“Healing isn’t always quiet. Sometimes it’s a physical letting go of things we didn’t even know we were carrying.

In this powerful session Garryl Lineham works with LeAnn Times on a deep Jaw Release. You can see the exact moment the tension breaks and the emotional weight lifts, leaving her feeling visibly lighter and more aligned.

The jaw is one of the body’s primary storage sites for stress. When we hold back our voice or push through pressure, the fascia in the face and neck “locks” to protect us. By using the maneuvers to signal safety to the nervous system, we can finally allow that stored energy to move.”

Human Garage wrote on Instagram, along with sharing the healing that came from the deep jaw release.

The moment in all honesty looks very painful, but given her reaction, she clearly felt a release unlike anything she’s experienced previously while trying to release this tension. She shared another one of a hip treatment, which once again, results in her being overcome with emotion:

In another video, Rimes and the Human Garage team shared how they helped her tongue, neck, and throat also release. The end result shows Rimes singing a few bars, noting that her voice feels much freer after the session.
