That’s one way to try and find true love.
Currently, the PGA Tour is down in Palm Harbor, Florida for the Valspar Championship. Professional golfers are competing in the final leg of the tour’s “Florida Swing” at Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club’s Copperhead Course… and at least one of the competitors out there is looking for something more than just a trophy.
Alejandro Tosti is looking for a wife.
The 29-year-old Argentinian golfer turned some heads on Thursday and Friday when spectators and fans tuning in to the event on TV noticed that his caddie’s bib read “NEED A WIFE” on the back where golfer’s names are usually displayed. The Valspar Championship allows for personalized caddie bib messages, and Tosti decided to make his caddie a walking billboard for his love life.
It’s a move that he says was inspired by some female volunteers at the tournament:
“The ladies that volunteer here were asking me. They were given a shirt and they say, ‘Do you have a wife?’ I said, ‘No,’ and the idea came from there. They were saying, ‘You should put that on your bib.’ A lot of people were asking if it was my caddie that was needing a wife, but no, it’s actually me.”
What a unique way to shoot your shot.
When Tosti was asked about the caddie bib by the PGA Tour’s social media team, he also offered up what he could offer up to his future wife. If any women are out there looking for a golfing pilot that can hold their own in the kitchen, Alejandro Tosti could be the perfect match:
“(I offer) a lot of good stuff. I love cooking, I can fly airplanes. I can play golf, and have fun.”
God bless him… would be quite the meet-cute if he does, in fact, end up meeting the love of his life through this.
Tosti’s caddie-bib-move is currently getting a lot of attention online, and many were quick to get into the comment section of the PGA Tour’s post with replies like these:
Ladies please form an orderly queue….I’ve got a feeling he’s about to get some interesting propositions! 🤣

Aha! This is why he carded 18 pars today. Trying to convince women he’s this stable, calm guy you can count on. Then she marries him and it’ll be back to 3 doubles, a triple, 2 eagles per round again. I’m on to your game Tosti. Do it myself. https://t.co/Ck848SGyYg

He really does have game, both off the golf course and on it. He’s currently in the Top 20 at the Valspar at 3-under-par, and he’ll comfortably make the cut to play into the weekend.
