A Super Bowl Halftime Show… and a wedding.
If you were one of the people who stuck with Bad Bunny’s halftime show during the NFL’s Super Bowl LX, rather than turning over Turning Point USA’s alternate broadcast, you saw what looked like a lovely couple on their wedding day. Was it all just a part of the choreography, or was it for real? That’s what many people were wondering, and according to a report from NBC Sports, the wedding that played out during the Super Bowl Halftime Show was for real.
Bad Bunny brought out Lady Gaga as a surprise musical guest during his Super Bowl set, and she sang “Die With a Smile,” a duet that she originally sang with Bruno Mars. As she sang, a man in a suit and a woman in a wedding dress briefly stood in front of an officiant, kissed, and then were quickly ushered to the side of the Super Bowl stage.
Shortly after, the couple could be seen taking a slice out of a wedding cake, as you can see here:
Surprisingly, that was apparently the couple’s actual cutting of their wedding cake.
“This is incredibly cool — A source familiar with Bad Bunny’s performance tonight tells me that the couple in the halftime show got married for real.
They invited Bad Bunny to their wedding and in turn he invited them to get married during his performance.”
Pretty cool origin story, an unprecedented moment, and one heck of a marriage story.
Social media users who had tuned into Bad Bunny’s Halftime Show were wondering if it was an actual marriage ceremony, and were excited to see this report:
I wondered about that! Love it!!

Something struck me about them and that’s what it looked like to me. I honestly thought to myself this looks like it’s really them getting married.

I had a strong feeling that was real

And obviously, Bad Bunny’s performance wasn’t the only entertainment that was offered up during halftime of the Super Bowl. Over on Turning Point USA’s YouTube channel (and many other platforms), Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice, Gabby Barrett and Kid Rock put on a show for the organization’s “All-American Halftime Show.”
Kid Rock even wrapped up the halftime show with a cover of Cody Johnson’s “Til You Can’t,” which was very unexpected… but incredibly well done.
