This kiddo is going places.
There is nothing cuter than seeing a little buckaroo roping and riding like he’s been on a horse’s back for 40 years. Growing up around horses myself, you know that these kids will grow up to be honorable members of society. From a young age, they see the value of hard work, how to put the care of something else above themselves, and, lastly, how to have fun unlike other kids.
And some of the fun I’m referring to is participating in the thrilling winter sport of skijoring from a young age. If you don’t know what skijoring is, you’re missing out because it’s high-speed, action-packed, and a little dangerous. The Norwegian sport called “ski driving” combines skiing and rodeo, with a horse pulling a skier behind it. As the horse races on the snow-packed course, the skier tackles obstacles like jumps and gates, and sometimes might have to grab objects like rings.
The skier and horseback rider create a partnership unlike any other, and it makes for a thrilling event to watch. The sport also takes a lot of skill to execute successfully, which makes a recent viral video all the more impressive to see a young cowboy partaking in it.
A Utah cowboy has captured the hearts of social media users after footage of him pulling family members during a skijoring event at the Wasatch County Event Complex went viral. The young boy is skillfully guiding his horse through the course, while an older gentleman is helping support a young boy on the skis.
In the on-screen caption of the video, the user who posted the video noted that the little boy was pulling his father and little sister, but later clarified in the comments that the family, known as @the_kbr_way on Instagram, reached out to her to note that the little boy, River, was pulling his uncle and cousin on skis.
She added a note in the post’s caption that this was one of her favorite moments from the event, and shared in the comments that re-watching it brings her to tears.
“Go little rockstar. This actually was the cutest thing I saw all day, besides the outfits. I was obsessed with the kids and how much practice they put into being able to ride a horse and pull each other on skis! I love this sport, so happy to go support our friends.”

Sure enough, if you check out the family’s Instagram page, you see footage of their son pulling is cousin on skis, noting they are creating a skijoring dream team. This video is worth its weight in gold, and so is this little boy’s mount. That is a million-dollar horse for taking care of those kids.
These kids are getting raised right.
