What a lineup.

With more and more festivals under the wide country, folk and Americana umbrella popping up seemingly by the week, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to not only keep track of just which is which but also to weed out which festival is worth the cost of admission and traveling expenses. While some “country” festivals around the U.S. lean more towards appealing to a mass audience of non-traditional listeners, Jackalope Jamboree has proven time and time again that they’re committed to booking the best acts across the vibrant independent and alt. country scene.

After booking the likes of 49 Winchester, Silverada (formerly Mike and the Moonpies), Charley Crockett, Randy Rogers Band, Ryan Bingham, Margo Price and Shooter Jennings as headliners since their inaugural festival in 2019, Jackalope Jamboree is looking to provide their most star-studded lineup to date in 2026.

Just announced, Jackalope’s 2026 headliners will be none other than previous performers, Turnpike Troubadours and Shane Smith & the Saints, as well as Kaitlin Butts in her first headlining set at the festival.

Along with Butts, Turnpike and Shane Smith & the Saints as headliners, Jackalope is pulling out some of the most underrated names in the alt. country and Americana scene with the likes of Rattlesnake Milk, Taylor Hunnicutt, Shelby Stone, Summer Dean, Josh Weathers, Lizzie No, Presley Haile and more making appearances across the festival’s three days.

As usual, the festival will take place at the historic Happy Canyon Arena in Pendleton, Oregon, on June 25-27, 2026. With 30 acts performing across the five stages set up around the arena, Jackalope will also provide free pre-party and after-party shows in downtown Pendleton throughout the weekend at local venues such as Great Pacific and Rainbow Café.

It should go without saying that a lineup consisting of Turnpike, Butts and Shane Smith & the Saints is well worth the price of admission alone, given that they have risen up as staples of the red-hot Texas and Oklahoma Red Dirt scene. Throw in the likes of Hunnicut, Stone and Rattlesnake Milk, and you have what can only be described as one of the premier festivals taking place in 2026. If you’re a fan of the booming independent and Red Dirt country scene lately, I’d start planning a trip to Pendleton very soon.
