Casually dropping some big (little) news.
Since breaking onto the scene three years ago with his hit single “Please Don’t Go,” Wyatt Flores has become a household name among red dirt and other sectors of country fans. In October of last year, Flores released his first album, Welcome To The Plains, solidifying his seat at the table (Yes, I know some people are going to say Half Life and Life Lessons were albums per their listing on Spotify, but the 7-track projects are technically EPs.)
The 14-track record showcases Flores’ wise-beyond-his-years songwriting prowess through tales and experiences of growing up in Stillwater, OK, and life on the road as a young musician. And with slowed-down country ballads, hard-driving rock and roll songs, and everything in between, Welcome To The Plains runs the gamut sonically and encompasses many aspects of the Red Dirt scene and sound for which Flores has become a poster child of sorts.
So in short, Wyatt Flores has hit the jackpot of making it big in the three years of his career, touring with huge names like Charles Wesley Godwin, 49 Winchester, Turnpike Troubadours, and he even opened a few nights on Post Malone and Jelly Roll’s Big A** Stadium Tour.
Flores has achieved a lot in his career so far, and while the limit is endless for him, things might be looking a little different moving forward.
The Oklahoma singer shocked fans last night when he posted a photo of himself holding a newborn baby on X. Wyatt Flores did not provide many details in the caption, but fans quickly concluded that this was Wyatt’s announcement that he has become a father.
“Guys, I’ve got some big (little) news…”
The newborn child sleeps peacefully in his arms as he looks down at them in admiration. The little child has a full head of hair, which makes it difficult to determine the baby’s age. As many of us know, some babies come out of the womb with a full head of hair, like Koe Wetzel’s daughter Woods, so having hair does not always denote how old the baby is.
But no matter how old the child is, Flores looks enamored with the new life.
I hope that Wyatt Flores gives us fans some answers because the comments on the post range from “Congrats” to “Is this a prank?” Wyatt Flores does have a sister, so perhaps he’s an uncle? While you hate to assume things, this post appears to be his casual announcement that he’s now a father.
If so, congrats on the sex. I can’t wait to hear some tunes about fatherhood and this next chapter of life.
