Here for this.
Mumford & Sons are in the thick of their Railroad Revival Tour, hitting cities to bring their grassroots sound to country, folk, and indie fans alike. The Railroad Revival Tour was first launched in 2011, with the band traveling from city to city via train and bringing their friends along with them.
This year, after Mumford & Sons took a brief hiatus from making music together, they are reviving the train tour. The tour kicked things off on August 3rd at New Orleans’ Woldenberg Park and will wrap up on August 7th at the Champlain Valley Exposition Center in Burlington, Vermont. On this tour, the famed folk-rock band features a “house band” packed with all-star musicians, including Celisse, Chris Thile, Ketch Secor, Leif Vollebekk, Lucius, Madison Cunningham, Nathaniel Rateliff, and Trombone Shorty.
On top of that, they’ve had a few friends surprise the crowd on stage as well- like the Bell Bottom Country singer Lainey Wilson. Wilson joined the stage to sing a few songs with the group, including a grassroots rendition of her hit “Things A Man Oughta Know.” Standing on the other side of Marcus Mumford, you can see Molly Tuttle as well, making it a magical evening.
In all honesty, this might be my favorite version of the tune; it’s stripped back, beautiful, and has a calming presence about it.
@emma2jackk such a cool moment 🤩‼️@Mumford & Sons @marcusmumford @Lainey Wilson #mumfordandsons #laineywilson #fyp #nola #championsquare #railroadrevivaltour ♬ original sound – emma grace
While that performance was stellar, the group also had some fun covering a country classic– Shania Twain’s “Man! I Feel Like A Woman.” Keeping a similar folk feel while covering the song, the piece opens with mandolins being plucked to form the iconic introduction melody of the tune. After that, the full band kicks in, taking things up a notch while still putting a new spin on the song’s melody.
All of the artists are on stage, truly living their best lives while singing the iconic lyrics.
“Oh, oh, oh, go totally crazy, forget I’m a ladyMen’s shirts, short skirtsOh, oh, oh, really go wild, yeah, doin’ it in styleOh, oh, oh, get in the action, feel the attractionColor my hair, do what I dareOh, oh, oh, I wanna be free, yeah, to feel the way I feelMan, I feel like a woman (hey!)”
When you think this performance could not get any better, the horn section kicks in, and you can’t help but smile at this point in the performance, making you want to get up and dance.
This is what music is all about.

Before you go, turn up Shania Twain’s version. Without her recording, we would not have this stellar cover to enjoy.
