Big & Rich in our nation’s capital.
The country music duo consisting of Big Kenny and John Rich will take their talents to Washington D.C. to take part in the world’s largest farmer’s market. It’s being called GAFM, or the Great American Farmers Market, and it’s described as a patriotic, pro-farmer and pro-agriculture extravaganza:
“The Great American Farmers Market, taking place on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., during National Farmers Market Week (August 3–8, 2025), will unite farmers, ranchers, and producers to showcase American agriculture, reinforce our shared commitments to “Make Agriculture Great Again” and “Make America Healthy Again,” and pay tribute to our nation’s growers.”
As you can see, the event is set to take place all of next week, and it gets started this upcoming Sunday.
And you can’t have a patriotic, American celebration without some country music, am I right? That’s why the event is also boasting a musical lineup to help kick off the event, with the biggest artist/group on the billing being Big & Rich:
“Great American Farmers Market lineup is here. We’re kicking off our weeklong celebration during National Farmers Market Week on Sunday, August 3rd from 4-8pm with live music, farm-fresh eats, family fun, and a star-studded lineup you won’t want to miss!”
Big & Rich at the Great American Farmers Market just makes sense.
John Rich, the one half of Big & Rich (and founder of Redneck Riveria), is excited about the opportunity to celebrate America’s farmers and agriculture. He’s been spreading the word about his involvement in the event just as much as he’s been outspoken about his politics (Rich has arguably grown his fanbase in recent years with his political commentary).
In a video that was shared by Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins, Rich explained how excited he is that Big & Rich will be together for the GAFM to help kick off the week-long event in the nation’s capital:
“Hey folks! It’s your buddy John Rich here. I have a really cool announcement. Sunday, August 3rd, Big and Rich – me and Big Kenny – are gonna be in Washington D.C. to play in the kick off event for the world’s largest farmers market right on the National Mall. It’s gonna be absolutely great, and I hope you can make it… Big and Rich baby! Gonna be a good time.”
If you are in the Washington D.C. area and you are intrigued, you’ll be happy to know that the Great American Farmers Market is completely free to attend.
National leaders Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Linda McMahon, Kelly Loeffler, Scott Turner, and Lee Zeldin are set to speak at the event, with religious and community leaders Rachel Campos-Duffy, Dr. Alveda King, Pastor Jentezen Franklin, and Jenny Korn also expected to articulate the importance of farming and agriculture. And besides Big & Rich, other artists and bands like LOCASH, Danny Gokey, Mary Millben, and the Free Chapel Band will play a part in the celebration hosted at the iconic National Mall.
Doesn’t get much better than a stroll through the world’s largest farmers market with some Big & Rich on the billing, am I right?
