Too much “backyard swagger,” I guess.
This past weekend, Morgan Wallen was in Seattle as part of his massive I’m The Problem tour, playing two nights at Lumen Field for fans in the Pacific Northwest. He had Anne Wilson and Miranda Lambert open the shows, and let’s just say… there were a few interesting moments. Morgan himself dealt with an unruly fan during night one, and Mrs. Miranda suffered a very unfortunate wardrobe malfunction during “Bluebird.”
Well, I suppose it wasn’t technically a wardrobe malfunction, but probably a little more than Miranda was expecting to show…
She came out in her classic t-shirt, denim skirt, boots and hat look, but the mini skirt might’ve been a little too “mini,” because you could clearly see her backside peeking out if you were standing right up front in the pit. A video of the incident has gone mega viral on TikTok, and you could now say that Miranda’s cheeks stole the show.
When you perform long enough, something like this is bound to happen, and if you’ve worn a denim mini skirt before, you know they can ride up and be really uncomfortable, so I can only imagine how hard it is to perform in one. Personally, I find skorts way more comfortable anyways, so maybe they can sew in a pair of shorts underneath them going forward just so there’s one less thing to worry about.

Fans of course had a LOT to say about it, and the viral video garnered tons of comments… some were of course happy to see the footage, while some called it a “PR stunt,” though I can assure you there is n0 way this is a stunt because she would’ve done this MUCH earlier in her career if that was the kind of attention she wanted.
But regardless, the story was everywhere, and I was just waiting for Miranda to respond because I figured it would be good, and in typical Miranda nature, she defended herself, using a line from her song “Little Red Wagon” that played behind a video of her in the outfit walking out onstage from behind:
“I’ve been warning y’all about my backyard swagger since 2014.”
The video also included another line from the song, which was included on her 2014 Platinum album, and is basically about her being a bad*** and someone you don’t want to mess with, so it really was the perfect song choice and response to all of the attention her behind has been getting this week:

There were plenty of supportive comments on the video, and really, we’ve seen much worse celebrity wardrobe malfunctions over the years, so I think this one is pretty mild in comparison to something like the infamous 2004 Super Bowl when Janet Jackson flashed the world (the Panthers were in it that year and I can never forget that moment).
Anyways, we’ll see if she changes up her outfit at all for the next several shows she’s opening for Morgan… she wears similar denim mini skirts pretty much every time she plays a concert now and this has never happened, but it’s probably better to be safe than sorry and maybe put something else underneath. That pit spot is a TOUGH angle in a dress or a skirt, as we’ve seen over the past several days.
But while she’s bringing up “Little Red Wagon,” go ahead and give it a spin because it’s such an underrated Miranda heater…
