President Donald Trump has danced himself into the video game world.
That’s at least how it appears, as video has been circulating online that claims to be from the newest installment of the EA Sports College Football franchise. The game returned last summer after over a decade in limbo, and college sports fans and sports gamers alike have absolutely eaten it up.
Why? Because who doesn’t want to take over their alma mater in a virtual world and lead them to an unlikely national championship? For quite a long time, fans have sat and watched their favorite college team on TV and shouted, “I could do better than that.” Now, they can actually prove that in EA Sports College Football 26 – which released on July 10.
People who love the game might be wondering if EA Sports made any changes to the game formatting, or the game play itself. You’ll be happy to know that they did make some improvements from last year, like getting rid of the infuriating moments where opposing teams had eyes in the back of their head:
What other changes did EA Sports make from last year’s version of the game?
Well, it certainly looks like they opted to put President Donald Trump’s signature “Y.M.C.A. Dance” into the game. A viral video has spread online showing a College Football 26 gamer scoring a touchdown with BYU running back LJ Martin. Once the Brigham Young player crosses the goal line, the touchdown celebration is initiated.
And if it’s not the Trump dance, it’s strikingly similar:
How about that?
As you might imagine, the reaction online to a college sports video game including some Trump lore has been… let’s just say mixed. Lots of people love the fact that President Donald Trump’s dance seems to be featured in the game, while others are a little disappointed and longing for a time when politics weren’t injected into everything:
I can’t stand EA with a passion but this is cold lol. They could make it a little cleaner. Trump got a little more bop than that

First we saw actual athletes doing the Trump dance on the field. Now we’ve reached the point of the simulation where President Trump infiltrates the video game universe. Guess the people that put together the video game just saw what was happening in real life sports and tried to make sure the virtual version emulated everything… even the fact that athletes can break out the “Y.M.C.A. Dance” if they so choose.
Pretty wild times we live in, huh?
