Tim McGraw recently took to social media to shine a light on his daughter, Audrey McGraw, but the cane that he was leaning on ended up stealing the spotlight.
The country music star shared a photo of he and his wife, Faith Hill, in Denmark relaxing at an outdoor dining establishment in Copenhagen, and the original Duttons (fans of 1883 will understand) were seated and cozying up with one another. While their love, or the fact that they were in Denmark to catch Audrey McGraw on tour, could have been the leading story… the cane that Tim McGraw is leaning on got a majority of the attention from fans.
As you can see, the 58-year-old is resting his arms on what appears to be a wooden walking stick:

Plenty of social media users pointed out that Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are looking better than ever in the photo that Tim shared. But many others saw the cane and became very concerned for the “Don’t Take the Girl” singer. Though some fans were already aware of Tim McGraw’s reasoning for using a cane (and wished him a speedy recovery), a lot of followers flooded the comment section asking if Tim was okay:
“Beautiful photo. Why do you have a cane? Are you okay?”
“Why the cane?”
“Need the full story on the cane my man.”
“Wonderful picture of you two! I hope you’re feeling better soon Tim!”
“What’s up with the cane ? Everything okay?”
“I hope you feel better soon!”
“Tim, what’s with the swishy walking stick?! All okay?”
“Beautiful photo!! Hope you are healing and doing well!”
“Why are you using a cane?”
“Tim, prayers to you on your recovery.”
For those that don’t know, Tim McGraw has recently been dealing with some debilitating back and knee injuries in recent years. He had actually just returned to the stage at the Nashville Rodeo after taking a year off from performing. McGraw had other dates on his schedule, but unfortunately had to cancel due to his recovery. His next slated concert date is now August 2 at the Bristol Motor Speedway.
In an interview a couple of months ago, Tim McGraw explained that he had back surgery before his tour in 2024. Though he did that in hopes that it would make touring easier, things went south early in the tour, and he said his knees overcompensated trying to make up for his back pains, and they also went out on him a mere three weeks into touring.
After he finished last year’s tour, he had surgery on both of his knees, and while he was recovering from those surgeries, Tim’s back went out once again, and he had no choice but to have another surgery for that as well. So for all those wondering why he’s currently using a cane to help him get around Copenhagen… does two back surgeries and two knee surgeries in the past two years answer your question?
Good to see that Tim McGraw isn’t letting his back and knee issues keep him from getting out and supporting his daughter. Here’s to hoping he can get back to 100% sooner rather than later.
