Tennessee Titans Mocked For Since-Deleted Post Wishing Happy Father’s Day To “Moms And Fatherly Figures”

So…everybody but fathers?

It’s Father’s Day, which should be a fairly easy holiday for brands to recognize on social media. I mean, all they really have to say is “Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there” or something along those lines to not screw it up.

But apparently the Tennessee Titans couldn’t even handle that one.

The NFL team posted a Father’s Day greeting earlier today on X (formerly Twitter), except…they left out fathers, instead wishing a happy Father’s Day to all “Titans moms and fatherly figures.”

The post was quickly deleted, but not before fans noticed that it appeared to be a botched attempt at copying and pasting their Mother’s Day post from last month:

As of right now the Titans haven’t tried to repost it with the correct message, so I guess they just gave up after they realized how bad they fumbled the first time. But naturally, after a 3-14 record in 2024, the message led to a lot of jokes about the social media team performing about as well as the team does on the field.

Tough look for a team that’s taken a lot of L’s recently.

The Titans are hoping to turn things around in their second year under head coach Brian Callahan, who took over after Mike Vrabel was fired following the 2023 season.

After landing the #1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Titans picked up former Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward in hopes of finally solving their quarterback woes.

But even that got off to a rocky start after Ward came under fire, not for anything he’s done on the field or in practice…but because he admitted to liking Morgan Wallen.

During his post-draft press conference, Ward was asked about his music taste seeing as he’s going to Music City, and as it turns out, he’s a BIG Morgan Wallen fan:

“Big Morgan Wallen guy. ‘Last Night’ is probably my number one song by him, I like ‘Love Somebody,’ and the last one… I can’t remember what it was, I’ll have to go through my Spotify playlist. But Morgan Wallen, he’s cool.”

Morgan shared the video on his own Instagram stories, saying:

“Welcome to Tennessee Cam, let’s get it!”

People can have very strong opinions about country music one way or the other, so it’s good to hear Cam likes it because he’s going to be hearing a LOT of it very soon:

Fans in the comments section of the above post were not loving Cam’s taste in music, and there were some pretty funny comments:

“Forget Morgan… throw some TDs and don’t do the Will Levis.”

“Mannnnn never mind. I thought he was cool.”

“Despite this, still like the guy.”

“Oh he has trash taste in music.”

“Man somebody PLEASE show this man some real music.”

“We don’t do Morgan Wallen here Cam.”

“Cam Just please understand Nashville ain’t Country. Broadway is country.”

“Already regretting this pick.”

“I guess he likes the trap beat ones trash fan he is.”

The Titans just can’t win these days…
