The most personal song from I’m The Problem.
Today, Morgan Wallen released the final single from his forthcoming 37-song album, which is due out everywhere next Friday, May 16th. “Superman” is very special to Morgan, which he previously talked about on an episode of Theo Von’s This Past Weekend podcast, explaining that it’s one he’s “tried to write many times,” but never could find the right words until now:
“I’ve tried so many times to write a song like that for him, and it always fell flat. I also didn’t want to write a song to him that was all sappy and slow, and just what you would expect a dad’s son song to be. That song has been written plenty enough and I wanted it to keep a little bit of my sound and my swag and just to be honest. And I feel like we accomplished that when we wrote it.”
The wrote with Ryan Vojtesak, John Byron, Blake Pendergrass ad James Maddocks for his son, Indigo, and it’s a pretty honest admission about his faults and poor decisions, including his multiple arrests and many nights drinking and making bad decisions:

Obviously, his son is still very young, but I’m sure one day it will mean the world to him and I can only imagine how much special it will become when he can fully understand it.
Morgan has also released six songs including the title track, “I’m a Little Crazy,” “Love Somebody,” “Lies Lies Lies,” and “Smile,” and a duet with his former hit duet partner Post Malone called “I Ain’t Comin’ Back.” I’m The Problem will features several other collabs, including a duet with pop star Tate McRae, in addition to features from Eric Church, Hardy and Ernest.
The production isn’t necessarily for me, btu the sentiment is beautiful and I love hearing this much deeper, more introspective side of Morgan.
