Football Fans Roast NFL Draft Set Up In Green Bay: “Getting Drafted From IKEA Is Crazy”

NFL Draft Day is TOMORROW.

Crazy to think that we’re already moving into the 2025-26 NFL season, am I right? It seems like just yesterday that much of the nation was reluctantly rooting for the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl, only so that Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs wouldn’t three-peat.

That was almost three months ago now.

Time flies, and the march of time has finally brought us to the 2025 NFL Draft. It’s taking place this year in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and I honestly love that a cold weather (and small market) city like Green Bay is getting to shine in the spotlight this year. Personally, I’m a Minnesota Vikings fan, and I’ve been to Lambeau Field… I know I’m supposed to hate the Packers with all my heart, but I had a great time while I was in Green Bay a couple of years back.

Admittedly, there’s not much to do there besides going to a football game, or in this case, attending the NFL Draft. Former Colorado Buffalo star Travis Hunter gave a great example of that when he spoke to the media earlier today:

If exploring the city means going to the local Dave and Busters, that’s probably not that great of a sign.

But that’s what makes Green Bay so special: the small town charm. When you are there, you’re literally driving through a neighborhood, you hang a right, and then next thing you know there’s an NFL stadium right in front of you. There’s really nothing else like it.

So I’m excited to see how the Packers roll out the carpet, so to speak, to host the NFL Draft this year. Speaking of carpets, the NFL’s Vice President of Communications posted this picture yesterday of the draft’s green room that’s set up for the talented prospects that will be attending. If you aren’t familiar, it’s the area where players and their families wait to hear their name called during the draft.

Here’s how it is set up in Green Bay:

I’ve got to admit… that is a large room. The only issue with putting a bunch of furniture and carpets down in a large warehouse? It starts to give big furniture store vibes.

That’s how everyone online has seen it, and social media users have had a field day cracking jokes at the NFL Draft green room in Green Bay:
