White House Drops “White House Crashers” Meme After Vince Vaughn Visits The Oval Office

Still getting used to the official White House social media account posting memes.

To say that Donald Trump’s second term as president has been a vibe shift would be an understatement. President Trump immediately got to work signing executive orders, and the POTUS has also stayed incredibly busy welcoming guests into the White House and Oval Office.

Trump has already had multiple championship winning teams (like the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Ohio State Buckeyes) visit him at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, and one of the most surprising guests he’s welcomed is comedian Bill Maher. The liberal talk show host reluctantly agreed to a dinner with Donald Trump, which was arranged by none other than Kid Rock, and from what we’ve been told, Maher’s visit went swimmingly.

All that to say that President Trump has had plenty of people visit the White House since he took office back in January, and today’s events added to that list even further. Earlier today, a ceremony was being held in the oval office for Dr. Mehmet Oz (yes, that Dr. Oz) for being appointed administrator for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services the oval office, though it was cut short for a medical emergency.

And sometime later, actor and comedian Vince Vaughn also swung by to see President Trump, and the White House saw the photo op as a great opportunity to have a little fun, and reference Vaughn’s 2005 comedy (jeez I’m getting old) Wedding Crashers:

Nothing like a meme straight from the White House, am I right?

Though some people are upset that the official White House account is cracking jokes now (and some are even using the White House Crashers against them, saying that Trump is really the “Economy Crasher”), I don’t think this instance in particular is no harm, no foul.

That’s how most of social media felt about it too as they sounded off in the reply section:

I don’t know about you, but with all of the other sequels and spinoffs in the modern age of media, I could certainly go for a Wedding Crashers reunion. In my humble opinion, Will Ferrel really stole the show in the film. If they could just recapture an ounce of the magic that came from the iconic “meatloaf” scene in a potential sequel, it would be worth it:

“MA! THE MEATLOAF!”
