Probably something all Tesla owners should consider at this point…
It seems that liberals have finally found a new way to cope with President Trump’s re-election, after spending months shaving their heads and screaming on TikTok. Recently, there’s been a string of vandalism and terrorism targeted at Tesla, which was of course founded by billionaire and close Trump advisor Elon Musk.
Now, I don’t have to point out the irony of a bunch of left-wing activists destroying electric cars. But recently, dealerships, charging stations and the vehicles themselves have come under attack from unhinged liberals upset at the cuts the Musk-led Department of Government Efficiency (or DOGE, for short) have made to the government.
Over the weekend, activist groups scheduled a “Tesla Takedown” and held protests at several Tesla dealerships across the country, because nothing says “organic movement” like a group of highly-organized protests from well-funded liberal groups. And many videos have gone viral over the past couple weeks of unhinged “protestors” keying cars or confronting Tesla drivers.
Several people have already been arrested on vandalism or arson charges related to the attacks around the country (including one man in South Carolina who accidentally set himself on fire trying to throw a Molotov cocktail at a Tesla charger), with some facing up to 20 years in prison…all because they can’t control their emotions.
And recently a disgusting man attacked an elderly woman in traffic, apparently simply because she was driving a Tesla.
According to KTVK, a 61-year old woman was driving her Tesla near Flagstaff, Arizona when another vehicle began chasing her before swerving in front of her to box her in.
The man driving the vehicle got out and walked up to her drivers side window before the woman says he then started hitting her:
“I started to say, you cut me off what’s your problem, but I didn’t know how much he heard me. He got out and started to punch me with a closed fist.”
The woman says she was able to bite the man’s hand, and eventually the passenger of his car got out and pulled the man away.
Police were able to find the driver and give him a citation, but the woman says that the incident has convinced her to sign up for a firearms safety course so that she’s able to protect herself in the future, and the owner of the shooting range where she’s signed up for the course applauded her decision to take her safety into her own hands:
“They were targeted because they drove a Tesla, and as a result of that felt quite vulnerable. They were surprised that someone would actually do something like that, and realized that if they are doing it, and they’re targeting them because of the car they drive, that they needed to take some additional measures to protect themselves.”
And the woman says it’s even more ridiculous because she didn’t buy her Tesla, which she says she’s had for years, for political reasons:
“I’m just appalled. I didn’t buy my car for a political statement. I bought my car because it’s really fun to drive. My politics have nothing to do with that and I’m just ashamed of our society and what they are doing.”
The whole thing is just ridiculous, because obviously these protests against innocent Tesla owners do nothing to hurt Elon Musk or the government. In fact, I’d say that a lot of the Tesla owners are probably liberals or Democrat voters themselves who bought the electric vehicles long before Musk was involved in politics.
But as we’ve seen since the election, a lot of people have trouble controlling their emotions…and unfortunately now people are having to take their safety in their own hands.
