There’s really never a bad time to fire up some Creed.
Venture Global, a Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) company, recently announced that their natural gas export terminal in Louisiana would be going through a major expansion. Not to bore you with technical terms, but the organization is reportedly adding “24 new liquefaction units.” To put things simply, the upgrade will allow for the site’s production to increase from 27 million metric tons per year to 45 million.
In layman’s terms, that just means that the investment will help America to be more energy independent.
Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry was there at the facility to help make the announcement, along with Energy Secretary Chris Wright and Interior Secretary Doug Burgum. Their “press conference” lasted over 20 minutes, and though I’ve included the entire video at the bottom of this story (feel free to watch it if you are intrigued by liquified natural gas), it’s how they ended the session that had made the moment go viral.
Secretary Burgum ended the proceedings by exclaiming the upgrade was helping to “Make America Great Again,” and after he thanked Venture Global and everyone that played a part in helping out, one of Creed’s biggest hits started playing over the loudspeakers:

Sorry… I can’t help myself when that song comes on. That’s arguably the 90’s rock band’s signature song, and this video right here is an example that including “Higher” can immediately elevate moment. Is announcing an LNG facility expansion super exciting? To some it might be. But does it inarguably make everything better if you blast Creed right after the announcement? You bet it does.
