Take this as your sign to spend time with your grandparents, parents, aunts, and uncles whenever you can. Grab the tissues because this one will tug at your heartstrings.

Aging is one of the most beautiful yet sad things to happen in life, in my opinion. With age comes wisdom, the growth of your family, making memories with your children and, God willing, your grandchildren, and a sense of appreciation for the little things. However, age also robs you of a lot of your favorite things. As your body changes and moves slower, you often are at the mercy of your loved ones coming to see you or take you out.

As you age, you often need help doing some of the activities you love, which can make you lonely.

This is why it’s so important to carve out time for your older relatives, which is exactly what this Kansas man did for his Uncle Bob. A creator named Dave gained over 3 million views in over a week, sharing a sweet video of him taking his 95-year-old uncle fishing. ”

“I told Uncle Bob I was taking him fishing and he was already geared up and waiting when I showed up 15 minutes early to pick him up. 95 years young. He thinks he’s a burden but I enjoy these fishing days with him more than he will ever know.”

Uncle Bob is the most precious older man. He sits on the bed of his truck like a little kid would, geared up and ready to head to the pond. I won’t lie; I was choking up just from that first clip. The viral video highlights Bob at a local pond, putting lures on his rods and reeling in some fish.

Sporting his Bass Pro Shop hat, Uncle Bob ended the day with a nice-looking bass fish, which I’d say means a successful day out. Uncle Bob also looks very proud of his catches, and he should be!

As Dave said in his caption, just like he enjoys these fishing days with his Uncle, I am sure Uncle Bob enjoys these days together more.

If you’re lucky enough to still have your grandparents, aunts, and uncles on this earth, take a page out of Dave’s book and surprise them with a day doing something they love.
