Maybe it’s time to find some new podcast material, eh?
It sucks enough to go through an extremely public breakup the way Zach Bryan’s and Barstool Sports personality Brianna LaPaglia, AKA Brianna Chickenfry, have, but this… this is just worst case scenario.
Over the weekend, both of them were in New Orleans to attend Super Bowl LIX, where the Philadelphia Eagles beat the crap out of the Kansas City Chiefs. Zach is a huge Eagles fan, and even dropped a new song called “Dear Miss” to celebrate their big win.
I’m assuming Brianna was cheering for the Chiefs because she’s a newfound Swiftie (I hate that I know that, but I digress…),but it looked like she was mostly there to do some press for Barstool, which obviously makes sense with her job. There are so many celebrities in town for the game that mixing and mingling at fancy parties is a highlight for a lot people who go to the game, and I feel like you can never be too sure who you might run into at any given moment, especially in such a lively city like New Orleans.
And while it’s universally agreed that your ex is just about the worst person you could probably run into, Brianna shared on her BFF’s podcast with Josh Richards that Zach was staying on the same street as them, and she was worried she might run into him:
“Wanna know what I found out? Well, you know, obviously I’m hanging out with you, but they don’t know… my ex boyfriend, the one that shall not be named, is staying on this street in a house. I’m, like, terrified.
What happens if we run into him? Like, what would you say? Do you think he would try to beat you up?”
Dramatic much?
Josh looked confused, telling Bri that no, he doesn’t think anything like that would happen, and says Zach is probably just trying to move on and live his life. Bravo to Josh for being the voice of reason and not feeding into the drama:
Bri continued:
“Yeah, I’m just hoping I don’t run into him.”
This episode was filmed while they were still in New Orleans, and I’m sure if they had run into each other we would’ve heard about it by now… but you can watch the clip here:

The people in the comments seemed less than amused, though, saying they were over hearing her talk about Zach and that it seems like she’s the one who can’t move on:
“Even Josh is like omg are we still talking about this!?”
“No it’s the way Zach Bryan forgot she exists while she obsessively brings him up weekly. Girl it’s giving stalker.”
“She is still talking about him Jesus.”
“The way Josh couldn’t care less about this conversation.”
“I’ve been in her shoes exact shoes and that would be my fear!!!”
“Like omg, sure he doesn’t care. Like he knew where you were gonna stay.”
“Her ex-boyfriend, that literally only one we know, the little country guy.”
“She’s obsessed and he don’t even give a crap.”
“Deep down you know just from this conversation she would love nothing more than to bump into Zach. If he is such a bad guy like she says he is then why does she constantly Obsess over him.”
“Why is she still bringing him up? If he was she’d say she’s scared of him and he’s obsessive.”
“She’s obsessed… let the guy go.”
“He’s def not thinking about Bri, lol. She literally wishes he cared.”
‘All she ever does is talk about him. Like it’s now her identity. Meanwhile all he does is make more and more music…”
“She can’t stop talking/thinking about him. only relevance left she has.”

I do agree that it’s probably time to move on and find some new talking points, but this was like a one-minute conversation out of an entire podcast episode. Clearly, people do still care, because there’s tons of comments and these type’s of clips always seem to go viral. As much as Bri has accomplished a lot on her own (well, via Barstool Sports), her relationship with Zach certainly pushed even further into the limelight… not hard to see why she ain’t quite ready to stop talking about it. Plus, she turned down $12 million (allegedly) so she could talk about it… gotta get your money’s worth, I guess.
