Colter Wall fans, listen up.

The “Sleeping On The Blacktop” singer, Colter Wall, took to social media this morning to share the sad news that he is rescheduling his current tour dates. He was set to embark on a nine-stop tour that would kick off in just a few days and run through the beginning of March.

Given that Wall does not tour often, working around his ranching schedule, fans are quick to snag tickets when he announces a tour. However sometimes, personal matters pop up, and artists have to put their fans on the back burner to take care of their own business or take a break to address their mental health.

It’s never fun for an artist to cancel a show or shows, but luckily for Colter Wall ticket holders, he’s not fully canceling his tour. He’s rescheduling the dates for the fall of 2025.

Wall shared the following information regarding the sudden change in the tour schedule:

“Firstly, I’d like to thank everyone for coming out to my shows. As always, you guys are the reason why I’m able to make my living singing and picking songs. Myself, the band, and entire crew are so grateful for that privilege. That being said, I’ve made the decision to reschedule this upcoming tour to October, 2025.

My reasons for doing so are quite personal and I’ve always valued my privacy despite the nature of my occupation. But I will simply say that some time off the road for reasons of mental and physical health are greatly needed.

Ticket sales for said tour will all be honored for their new dates, and refunds will also be available at point of purchase for those unable to make it.

I know this is not news people like to get and I don’t much like being to one to give it. Myself and my team take none of this lightly and we hope for your continued support and understanding. Thank you.”

Of course, there will be fans who are livid that Wall is taking time for himself, but I always appreciate when an artist knows when a break is needed. Just like we get burnt out, so do they. Just like we have days when the smallest tasks feel impossible, so do they.

When artists have the power to identify that they need some time off, their shows, when they return, are much stronger. And it’s the show they want to give their fans.

Rest up, Colter. We can’t wait to see you back on the road in the fall.
