Massive Bull Moose The Size Of An SUV Walks Along Canadian River Bank

Monster moose

Crazy to think that there are moose like this just walking around out in the wild.

For those people that live in “moose country” that regularly see the massive beasts, I’m sure it’s not that big of a deal to set your eyes upon a moose. But for the the rest of us, this video of a moose walking by the water in Canada standing as tall as some of the trees is astounding.

Moose are the largest of all deer in the deer family, and their height and weight might surprise you. Males are typically bigger than females, though both genders are generally ginormous. On average, a bull moose usually stand at 6 feet tall at their shoulders, and can even weigh up to 1,400 pounds.

Something that I can’t get over while we’re on the topic… people actually hunt these things (they’re some of the most sought after big game animals on the planet), and I can’t imagine trying to track down something of this size that could actually turn around and kill you with one swing of the antlers.

This video, which was captioned “Titan of the North: The Giant Moose of Canada,” has gotten the attention of the internet. The Canada moose in the second largest of all the moose species, with only the Alaska Yukon subspecies being bigger. Some simply can’t believe that this video is real and unedited, but that’s just what Mother Nature does to you sometimes.

Shoutout to the person paddling along in the water for being brave enough to stick around (moose are excellent swimmers) to capture this footage:

Breathtaking.

Social media users that stumbled across the now viral video of the Canada moose were both mesmerized and terrified at the sight of this colossal moose:

“Nothing more scary than a moose.”

“Look at the beauty in this bull… I bet this moose has had some adventures.”

“This looks like the beginning of an epic boss battle.”

“Better not piss him off.”

“Welp… Canada’s on the no-go list now.”

“That looks to me like the master of the forest.”

And while we’re on the topic of moose, I’d be remiss if I didn’t direct you to an interesting conversation we recently had with country music singer Colby Acuff. During the latest episode of the Whiskey Riff Raff podcast, the intriguing hypothetical premise of, “How many people would it take to bring down a moose?” was posed. Rumor has it… no one has ever gotten to the bottom of the moose takedown conversation like Whiskey Riff Raff did.
