Florida Woman Arrested After Police Find Drugs In Bag Labeled “Definitely Not A Bag Full Of Drugs”

Typical “Florida Woman” behavior.

The Sunshine State is still pumping out great content, in case you didn’t know. This time, a Florida woman by the name of Teryn Acri is at the center of it. For some unknown reason, she thought the power of a bag with some words on it could keep her out of jail for the second time in a matter of a couple of weeks.

Spoiler alert: the bag did not keep her out of jail.

Earlier this month, Acri was arrested after being stopped at a traffic stop. Officers founds trafficking amounts of methamphetamine in her vehicle, as well as other drug paraphernalia. She was hit with a charges of trafficking, possession with intent to sell, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Acri somehow managed to post her $15,500 bond a couple of days later and get back out on the streets. But not for long…

Over the weekend, Brevard County Police conducted another traffic stop, and ran into their old pal Teryn Acri once more. The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office’s post about their second run-in with the previously charged woman is hilarious, so I’ll just let them explain how this chance encounter went down:

“Just 10 days after getting out of jail, Deputy Lexi Gordon and her K9 partner Aurora were out on patrol and conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle where Acri happened to be the passenger. As Deputy Gordon spoke to the driver he agreed to a search of the vehicle stating nothing illegal should be inside.

Well unfortunately for him, this is the part you just can’t make up, as Acri had had a few bags with her and one of them had the words ‘Definitely Not A Bag Full Of Drugs’ printed on it! The bag was filled with snacks… just kidding it was actually drugs. That’s right, she actually had a bag with drugs in it that said on the side ‘Definitely Not A Bag Full Of Drugs!'”

Inside the bag that was comically and ironically labeled “Definitely Not A Bag Full Of Drug” was basically every drug related thing you could think of. Methamphetamine, needles, Narcan, digital scales, small baggies, cut straws and various other items that are utilized for drug use were inside the bag. So Acri was swiftly booked once more for all the same charges she faced earlier in the month, though this time she was given a “no bond” status that the sheriff’s office hopes will stand.

That post above also references the definition of insanity.

If you haven’t ever heard it before, the word insanity is defined as “doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” The definition is often used to inspire athletes to change up their regime, though this time it’s the perfect encapsulation of this Florida woman’s criminal streak.

Did she really think the bag was going to throw off a police officer? Like law enforcement is going to see a bag labeled “Definitely not a bag full of drugs” and then proceed to not open it? I imagine the officer opening up the bag of drugs looked a little bit like this scene from Arrested Development:
