Rip and Bob, gettin’ after it.

It’s no secret that Kid Rock, real name Bob Ritchie, is an avid hunter. The Michigan native, Tennessee resident, has shared photos of hunts over the years, including a Tennessee whitetail just a couple weeks ago, and a somewhat controversial mountain lion hunt back in 2015.

But more recently, he shared another beauty buck down in Mississippi, and this grip and grin featured a cameo appearance from Yellowstone’s own Cole Hauser, AKA Rip Wheeler. Overall though, these two look like they didn’t have to get very dirty to harvest this deer. Cole has a scarf on, both dudes are wearing jeans, did you hit this one with your car? Kidding… nice buck, fellas.

Although, the post DID draw some criticism from legendary quarterback and Mississippi native, Brett Favre, who was wondering… where was his invite?

“Damn it you both come down to my state and don’t give me a holler.”

Kid Rock, Cole Hauser and Brett Favre… what a trio to go hunting with. I’d be more than happy to drink a few beers with those lads.

He shared the photo to Instagram shouting out his upcoming Rock N Rodeo event:

“Slayin’ ‘em with Rip in Mississippi! We are both looking forward to the 2nd annual Kid Rock’s Rock-N-Rodeo and PBR World Finals “Unleash The Beast” World Finals at AT&T stadium in Arlington, TX, May16-18th, 2025. Tickets on sale now! pbrworldfinals.com We both hope to see y’all there!”

Kid Rock’s Rock N Rodeo is a reimagined rodeo collaboration between produced by PBR (Professional Bull Riders) in partnership with Kid Rock. Bringing together music and rodep, the event features live music performances as well as six rodeo teams, each led by a legendary rodeo head coach, competing in a head-to-head, bracket-style competition across barrel racing, bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, team roping, steer wrestling, and breakaway roping.

It all goes down next May at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, home of the Dallas Cowboys. It’s all part of a jam-packed week of PBR rodeo events including the PBR World Finals Eliminations, Ride For Redemption, and the main event, World Finals Unleash The Beast Championship.

Here’s some of Bob’s latest hunts…

A Tennessee whitetail:

“The rut is on in the Mackie Valley!”

Elk hunt:

“In case you kids were wondering what camo is really worn for.”

A Whitetail with Donald Trump Jr:

“Had a great hunt in South Texas last weekend. The weird / crazy part of it all is that I took a helicopter (which I normally try to stay off of) to the airport Sunday to head home. While taking off I had a “more than usual” very dark / eerie feeling. To make things even stranger, the gun I used to hunt was nicknamed “The Black Mamba”

I only met Kobe Bryant in passing a few times but really enjoyed watching him play and respected his work ethic. God bless you Kobe. Condolences to all those who lost loved ones in that terrible crash. May it serve as a reminder to live each day to the fullest.”
