Men Arrested At Texas A&M Game For Fake Construction Credentials With The Names “Harry Azcrac” & “Duncan McCockiner”

Big fans of The Simpsons eh?

One of the long-running bits on the cartoon sitcom The Simpsons involves Bart Simpson calling Moe’s Tavern and asking to speak to somebody with a fake name, causing Moe to ask the bar if there’s anybody there by the name of “Seymour Butz” or “Mike Rotch” or other names that turn out to be dirty jokes.

It’s the oldest trick in the book of prank calls, but it’s still pretty funny.

And apparently a couple of Texas A&M fans thought they could use it to get into their biggest college football game of the year.

The Aggies were taking on the Texas Longhorns in College Station this past weekend, with both teams playing for a spot in the SEC Championship Game next weekend. Tickets to the game were hard to come by, even with Kyle Field being one of the biggest stadiums in the country at over 102,000. The average ticket price to the game was $1,100 on StubHub the week before the game, nearly triple the price of a normal Texas A&M game.

So it’s really no wonder these fans decided to get creative. Who can afford those prices in this economy?

During the game, the Texas A&M Police Department tweeted out that they had arrested two men wearing reflective vests and hard hats who had entered the stadium using fake credentials.

And a reporter in Texas decided to do some digging into the situation (because let’s be honest, there has to be a great story behind it), and as it turns out, these guys had some interesting names on their credentials that should have given up their scheme immediately: Harry Azcrac and Duncan McCockiner.

(In case you don’t get the joke, “Harry Azcrac” is a pun for “hairy asscrack” and “Duncan McCockiner” is…well, never mind).

Gotta give ’em credit for trying.

There’s no word on what charges the young pranksters are facing, but they weren’t the only ones who found themselves in hot water with the Texas A&M police over the weekend.

A man was also kicked off campus for riding a longhorn steer with his dog – and folks didn’t believe it until video of the man started circulating.

(Side note, if you’re not following the Texas A&M Police Department on Twitter, you need to be because the account is a goldmine of hilarious fan encounters on game day).

Do I need to put College Station on my list of places that I need to catch a football game? Because all of this just sounds awesome to me.

Of course things didn’t work out for Texas A&M, who lost to the Longhorns 17-7 as Texas secured their spot not only in the SEC Championship Game but also likely locked themselves into the College Football Playoffs.

I’m just really hoping that Harry Azcrac and Duncan McCockiner recorded their attempt to get into the game for TikTok or something so that we can see how they pulled it off. Well, almost pulled it off…
