Can’t be going there these days.
Obviously one of the major stories from the past couple weeks has been the arrest of rapper Diddy (formerly known as Puff Daddy, and P. Diddy, and Puffy), who’s facing federal charges of sex trafficking and racketeering.
After his arrest, we got a disturbing look at what Diddy, whose real name is Sean Combs, is accused of, including holding “freak offs” filled with prostitutes, sexual activity and…whatever else you do at a freak off.
And we also got a look at what authorities found when they raided his home – including 1,000 bottles of lube and baby oil.
Not suspicious at all.
His lawyer tried to explain the stash away by claiming that the rapper simply bought it in bulk while shopping at Costco – but even Costco wanted nothing to do with Diddy and quickly confirmed that the warehouse store doesn’t even sell baby oil.
Nonetheless, the large stash has been the subject of plenty of jokes and memes since Diddy’s arrest. And it’s kinda ruined the good name of baby oil…because now it’s pretty much associated with Diddy and his freak offs.
In fact, during a postgame interview today, Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase was asked about baby oil. But he had no interest in going there.
Chase had an incredible 63-yard touchdown in the Bengals 34-24 win over the Carolina Panthers today, breaking three tackles en route to the endzone.
And after the game, a reporter jokingly asked Chase if he had covered himself in baby oil to easier slip out of defenders’ hands. But given the national conversation around baby oil these days, it’s no wonder that Chase wanted nothing to do with the question:
“We gotta keep that for somebody else, bro. That’s not my question right there…
You can’t even ask that no more, bro. There’s too much going on in life with that, man. You can’t do that.”
Was #Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase wearing baby oil during his wild 63-yard touchdown against the Panthers?🤣🤣
(Shoutout to @Trags for the video and @FOX19Jeremy for asking a question that made everyone, including Ja'Marr laugh)😂 pic.twitter.com/YT23GdNhbQ

Can’t even ask an innocent question about baby oil these days. Thanks a lot, Diddy.
