Put those dogs away!
Kevin Costner might not be filming the final half of season 5 of Yellowstone right now, and with his passion project, Horizon: An American Saga, being put on an indefinite delay due to part one’s box office flop, he has found himself with a lot of free time.
When Costner is not working on projects for the big screen, you can find him playing in his country band, Kevin Costner & Modern West. The band has been making music since 2010, creating a sound that blends Southern rock, folk, and classic country. Costner’s one helluva singer as the frontman, and they have put out solid tracks and records over the years. The group even curated an album for the hit Western show Yellowstone, and songs from the tracklist have been featured throughout the seasons.
Outside of making music in the studio, however, you rarely see the busy man on stage. However, given his newfound free time, Costner and the boys are plugging in the amps and getting back on stage.
However, Costner is catching some heat for his stage outfit choices. Outing himself, Costner shared a video of himself sporting flip-flops on stage.

Channeling his inner Jimmy Buffett, eh?
Since many fans of Kevin Costner see him as John Dutton on and off the screen, they were not buying the island vibe he was channeling. The rest of Costner’s band are sporting short boots or some variation of hiking boots, which seems like a much more sensible choice of footwear given musicians are often loading and unloading their gear.
Not to mention, every band member is sporting a flannel or hoodie of sorts, so is it flip-flop weather?

Many comments left on the short video were from women fan-girling over the famed actor, but quite a few folks rightfully roasted Costner for this footwear choice. I mean, he set himself up to be made fun of by sharing the video himself.
