Finally answering the question on everyone’s mind.
Riley Green and Ella Langley have become quite the country music duo recently. With the success of her song “You Look Like You Love Me,” which features Riley, as well as their recently-announced tour together, and his song “Don’t Mind If I Do” that featured Ella, it’s definitely got fans wondering if there’s more to their relationship than just the music.
Both Riley and Ella are from Alabama, with Ella hailing from Hope Hull while Riley grew up in Jacksonville. And as it turns out, their paths crossed while they were both getting their start in the music business.
As Ella told Taste of Country ahead of the People’s Choice Country Awards last night:
“Riley was probably the first famous person I ever met. He was playing all the same bars I went to, and I played the same bars as him. It’s cool to see Alabama people winning.”
Obviously they’ve come a long way since then, with Riley recently announcing his 2025 Damn Country Music Tour featuring…you guessed it, Ella Langley.
After the duo posted a Smokey and the Bandit-style teaser ahead of the announcement, fans (ok, mostly the ladies) took to Riley’s comments hoping to finally get some answers on their burning question:
“WHEN IS THE DATING ANNOUNCEMENT.”
“Are y’all dating yet or what.”
“If you announce you’re dating on Saturday I’m gonna throw a f***ing fit.”
“Excusssseeee me yall look like you’re dattttinngggg.”
“Just announce you’re dating already plz.”

Well obviously the teaser wasn’t for a dating announcement (would have been a little weird, but whatever). But Ella did finally answer the question on everybody’s minds:
“We’re not dating. We’re just good friends.”
So that settles it, right? Nobody going to ask or speculate anymore now that we have our answer straight from the source?
Yeah, of course not. It’s not my first day on the internet so I know the rumors won’t be dying down any time soon.
