Week 1: Pick-six surrender cobra. Week 2: An ill-fated backwards lateral in the red zone. Week 3: More of Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis being an agent of chaos.
Might as well call Levis The Joker at this point, because he’s providing laughs to every NFL fan who doesn’t have the cruel misfortune of cheering on the Titans.
Seldom has a quarterback single-handedly sabotaged his team in such memorable fashion as the embattled second-year field general. Levis has arm strength for days, but his pocket presence, decision-making, and big play hunting leave a lot to be desired.
During Sunday’s 30-14 loss to the Green Bay Packers in Tennessee, Levis gift-wrapped a touchdown to the Cheeseheads defense when Jaire Alexander jumped in front of DeAndre Hopkins for a quick trip the other way.

If it’s even possible, that arguably wasn’t the worst of what Levis put on his latest film. Or at least it wasn’t the most discombobulated-looking football play. The winner for that dubious honor may well go to this attempted 4th-and-2 run, where Levis dove for the first down and came up well shy.
Definitely had “I Believe I Can Fly” playing in my head as Will Levis took flight on this fourth and 2. pic.twitter.com/xmO7fDKGFF

I’m almost certain this latest Levis surrender cobra came in the ensuing moments.

Near the end of the third quarter, Levis gave Green Bay the ball again on a sack fumble, wherein Lukas Van Ness almost rolled his head off.

Hate to kick a guy while he’s down, but Levis has rubbed me and many other folks the wrong way ever since he hit the NFL. The mayo in the coffee was a massive red flag. Like who are you trying to be a hardo for, bro? And his stiff mechanics likely arise from an excessive amount of time in the weight room.
How down-bad is Levis exactly? Putting aside how disliked he is across Titans fandom, his ex-girlfriend dunked on him on social media, he had to change his phone number due to harassment for his poor play, and his head coach Brian Callahan has called him out publicly on multiple occasions. Whether it’s at the podium or legit saying, “What the f**k are you doing!?” during a game, Levis has taken the slings and arrows from all sides to start the 2024 season.
Are the Titans cooked? Most likely. But then again, I’ve never been more confused about what’s happening across the NFL than I am right now. Sam Darnold and Justin Fields are the first QBs to lead their teams to a 3-0 record. Who’s to say Levis can’t bounce back from his rocky start in the midst of such a bizarre pro football landscape? I guess the rebuttal is, Will Levis is sabotaging himself to such a severe degree that the psychological scar tissue may already be too much to overcome.
