Big news from Lance Roark.
Following the release of his live EP, Live From Tulsa, Roark is introducing his next project. Announced this week with the release of lead single “Big Bad Heart,” the Oklahoma native announced his next EP, Tenkiller.

Roark comes out of the gate swinging with “Big Bad Heart,” a red dirt ballad in which Roark hopes to capture a woman’s heart. Roark falls in love quickly with the woman, but she doesn’t see him in the same light. While he keeps seeing her go after men who do not treat her right, he sticks around, hoping that one day she will fall for him and give him her heart.

One summer evening, Roark co-wrote the song with RC Edwards from the Turnpike Troubadours. Roark has been friends with Edwards for quite some time, and the two began collaborating during the Troubadours hiatus while Roark was touring with Edwards’ side project, RC and the Ambers.
Edwards and Roark might have just laid down one of the songs of the summer with “Big Bad Heart.” The catchy chorus will be stuck in your head. If the rest of Tenkiller follows suit with this solid single, the EP is destined to be great.
