Lainey Wilson is cooking up something good in the studio, but while fans are captivated by her “Country’s Cool Again” era, it is not the title single for her next album. While it seemed as though this was going to be the name for her next album, with her massive tour sharing the single’s title, Wilson spoke with Audacy at Country Thunder and confirmed that this is not the case.
“So basically, I am working on some stuff right now, and I can’t wait to tell y’all about it. It is…I mean I’m partial because all the songs I write I mean they are my babies. But at the end of the day, I do feel like…uh, this next batch of stuff…If ‘Bell Bottom Country’ did it, I can’t wait to see what this does.”
Wilson noted that she is currently figuring out what collaborations might appear on the album, as it sounds like she is in the final stages of finishing up the next project. Then she was pointedly asked if “Country’s Cool Again” was the title track.
“No, it’s not. I can tell you that…You thought it was… I pulled you wrong.”
While I am not going to lie, she had been thinking “Country’s Cool Again” was about to be a whole era, I am also excited to hear that we will get another collection of songs filled with the signature spice of the Louisiana native.
Time will tell when we know the title track of this album, but in the meantime, fire up “Country’s Cool Again.”
