Kyle Busch Brutally Roasted By His Wife Samantha After Saying He “Needed A Couple Inches” To Win At Atlanta

Now you know how she feels.

Kyle Busch was probably already feeling pretty rough after coming out on the losing end of one of the closest finishes in NASCAR history at Atlanta Motor Speedway this weekend.

Busch was in the middle of the three-wide pack as they crossed the finish line, with Daniel Suarez edging out Ryan Blaney for the win by a margin of victory of just .003 seconds.

And Suarez was just .007 seconds ahead of third-place Kyle Busch in his #8 Richard Childress Racing car, who ended up just a matter of inches away from winning his first race of the season and locking himself into the playoffs.

After the race, Busch was surprisingly positive about the finish, despite losing out on the sweep after winning the Craftsman Truck Series race on Friday:

Busch also reflected on coming so close to victory in a post on his Instagram, where he lamented needing only a “couple inches” to win on Sunday:

“Can’t get much closer than that. Needed a couple inches.”

But to add insult to injury, his wife Samantha chimed in and brutally roasted Busch on “needing a couple inches.”

“I’ve been telling you that for almost 20 years”

OUCH.

Kyle and Samantha have been married since 2010, and have two children, 8-year old Brexton and (almost) 2-year old Lennix. And Samantha has become a popular figure in the sport herself with her presence on social media documenting the couple’s life and their fertility journey as they grew their family.

It’s that openness with their personal life that’s endeared Samantha to fans – especially at a time when her husband wasn’t exactly the most popular driver in the NASCAR Cup Series.

But Kyle seems to have managed to turn his image around with fans after moving from Joe Gibbs Racing to RCR last season, when he won three races during his first season with the #8 team.

I bet he wish he had a few more inches this weekend though…because then his wife wouldn’t have had to put him on blast for the entire world to see.
