Elle King has certainly been making headlines lately – though not necessarily for the right reasons.

The “Drunk (And I Don’t Wanna Go Home)” singer appeared on the Grand Ole Opry’s Opry Goes Dolly tribute to Dolly Parton this weekend while totally hammered out of her mind, slurring her way through her performance before unleashing a profanity-laced rant on stage at the historic Ryman Auditorium.

But amidst all the attention on King, a lot of people are discovering for the first time that the country singer is actually the daughter of…actor Rob Schneider.

King’s real name is Tanner Elle Schneider, the daughter of the former SNL star and his then-wife London King.

And not only is she Schneider’s daughter, but Elle King has also appeared in movies alongside her famous dad, making her acting debut in his 1999 comedy Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo.

Of course Schneider is best known for his time on Saturday Night Live, where he served as a cast member from 1990 to 1994, as well as his frequent appearances in movies with Adam Sandler like Big Daddy, Grown Ups, and of course, this iconic character from The Waterboy.

And King, who is 34 years old, took interest in music from an early age, learning to play guitar and banjo along with the music of country legends like Hank Williams and Earl Scruggs.

Her first hit came in 2014 with the pop hit “Ex’s & Oh’s” before moving into country and becoming a frequent collaborator with Miranda Lambert, including on the lead single from her debut country album Come Get Your Wife back in 2021.

She also appeared with her famous father on this year’s Nashville New Year’s Eve Bash.

And dad even featured a duet with his daughter during his 2020 Netflix special, Asian Momma, Mexican Kids.
