We had one heck of an opening weekend for college football, where we saw a number of upsets, along with a number of close calls.
However, perhaps the most shocking upset of the weekend was when Colorado beat the 17th ranked TCU Horned Frogs, 45-42.
Although new Colorado head coach Deion Sanders brought in a ton of talented transfers to the team, we’re still talking about a team that went 1-11 last season, going up against the team that made it to the National Championship last year.
Not to mention, many believed that Colorado would only win four games max this season, along with the fact that they had to play on the road at TCU for this game.
But, Colorado did the unthinkable and shocked TCU, and now just about every college football fan is jumping on the bandwagon, looking to see just how far Sanders can take this team in his first season.
But in case you were wondering why the Buffs came out firing on all cylinders, it was probably because of this absolutely ELECTRIC pregame speech Sanders gave to the team before Saturday’s game.
In the speech, you can see Sanders saying:
“God gave me a word long before this, but he’s been holding it. Because it’s not about them, it’s about us. This has nothing to do with the team that’s opposing us, this is about us.
This ain’t got nothing to do with the naysayers, the unbelievers, the haters, the doubters, this is about us. When we started this journey, we told you it was going to be trying, it was going to be tough, but you endured because this is about us.
That man next to you is a miracle, that man next to you is a believer, that man next to you is a go getter, that man next to you is a dawg, that man next to you is somebody who wants this thing, that man next to you is somebody who believes, that man next to you is somebody who wants this thing, that man next to you is somebody who gots to have it today, we ain’t got tomorrow, we got now.
