The Red Clay Strays… those boys do not miss.

We all know and love the media platform Western AF for capturing up-and-coming artists in an old-timey and unfiltered light. They share some incredible stripped-down performances and capture the essence of each artist behind the camera.

From artists like Colter Wall, Sierra Ferrell, Charley Crockett and more, they produced a number or viral performance videos.

They kicked off their newest YouTube series, “Live AF,” with the one and only Red Clay Strays. I have been waiting for this premiere date since they teased it a few days ago via their Instagram account.

“Live AF is a collection of songs, curated by the artists, that release on YouTube and an EP on streaming services.”

Red Clay Strays is a perfect group to highlight in this new series with their authentic Western swing sound that brings in elements of blues, rock, and classic country with a unique twist. The four-song live performance shot in a warehouse highlights the incredible power Red Clay Strays hold outside of a studio setting.

“The Red Clay Strays are some of the absolute best folks you’ll meet in the music business. The music is big. It’s full of energy and honesty.

We were honored to have them spend a morning with us between sold-out shows to record the VERY FIRST Live AF Session. It won’t be the last one but will always be our first, and it means a lot that it’s these guys.”

They open the live session with clips of the group unloading their gear and getting ready to rock. “Stone’s Throw” opens the set, rolling into “Killers” and “Wondering Why” before closing it out with a rocking performance of “Don’t Care.”

Each song sounds just as good, if not better, than the studio version. That is pure artistry there… The Red Clay Strays do NOT miss.

This is a session well worth watching.
