Happy Under The Big Sky week, y’all.

This festival has skyrocketed to one of the more popular country music festivals since its birth in 2019. Every year, the festival takes place in Whitefish, Montana, drawing crowds to admire their stunning mountain views while listening to killer lineups.

What more could you want?

While I am incredibly envious of those en route to Whitefish, I have watched many video clips from past years’ performances. Is it helping ease the fast I am not going? No. In fact, it’s making me more sad that I have yet to make the trip to attend the festival myself.

It also doesn’t help that I watched last year’s recap video, which makes the grounds look like heaven.

(I highly suggest skipping this video if you don’t want to inflict self-hate for not buying tickets.)

Nevertheless, the acts that this festival draws are phenomenal. Last year one of the headliners was a crowd favorite, Turnpike Troubadours.

Last year, this show was during the peak of their reunion leg of touring. The crowds were electric, the stage presence was on fire, and the setlist featured all of the classics.

Two of my favorites from A Long Way From Your Heart are “Tornado Warning” and “The Housefire.” And I think I speak for the masses when I say that yelling out the words to these songs hits differently when you are at a live show.

The fan behind the camera is right on the guardrail, making for a prime viewing experience through her video.

The band sounds phenomenal, and although you can’t see the crowd, you can imagine it is packed with fans holding up their beer cans and belting out word for word.

It seemed like a killer show.

This year’s lineup includes Hank Williams Jr., Zach Bryan, Marcus King, Ryan Bingham, LeAnn Rimes, 49 Winchester, Kat Hasty, Charley Crockett, Molly Tuttle, Colter Wall, and many, many other phenomenal acts.

The festival kicks off Friday. So you can bet I will consume all of the content shared from the weekend.
