Eric Church is taking over the Country Music Hall of Fame.

In addition to his new exhibit called Eric Church: Country Heart, Restless Soul, which will open soon on July 13th and run through June 2024, he was just announced as its 18th artist-in-residence.

This means that he will create one-of-a-kind performances over multiple evenings at the CMA Theater there, as a way for the Hall of Fame to spotlight his impressive and unique body of work.

Artists often incorporate special guests or themes specific and important to their careers, and Eric says that he’s “honored” to be part of this special event:

“As a student of the rich history of country music’s most prolific artists, the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum is a shrine of reverence for this songwriter’s heart.

I’m honored and humbled to be included in such esteemed company.”

CEO of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum Kyle Young added that Eric has done it all his way, and they’re excited to showcase that with a live performance at the museum:

“Throughout his career, Eric has constantly stretched boundaries with his music and challenged long-standing conventions in his recordings and his live performances.

Our artist-in-residence series offers him the freedom to showcase his ever-evolving creative vision.

We’re grateful to him for volunteering his time and fierce individualism to the series, which benefits the museum and its nonprofit mission.”

There will be two special Eric Church-produced shows on Tuesday, August 29th and Wednesday, August 30th, and all ticket proceeds benefit the nonprofit museum’s educational mission.

Museum and Church Choir fan club members will have first access to presale tickets this Thursday, with public on-sale happening this Friday, June 23rd at 10AM on the museum’s website.

Eric is also gearing up to kick off his extensive The Outsiders Revival Tour this weekend on June 22nd.

It marks the first fully outdoor tour of his career, and features an absolutely kickass list of performs who will rotate dates as openers including Whiskey Myers, Cody Jinks, Ashley McBryde, Koe Wetzel, Lainey Wilson, Morgan Wade, Muscadine Bloodline and many, many more.
