Jeremy Renner Says ICU Was Under Construction During Visit: “They Put Me In A Janitor’s Closet, Everyone Is Moaning… Like A Haunted House”

Jeremy Renner

Jeremy Renner is back on his feet after his horrific snowplow accident back in January at his Lake Tahoe, Nevada home while trying to save his nephew from getting run over, and it’s an awesome sight to see.

Especially considering he had to be airlifted to the hospital, and nearly lost his life after sustaining serious injuries to his legs, head, and chest.

Although a source close to him said that the injuries were much worse than anybody knows, and that it could take him up to two years to recover, he appears to be ahead of schedule, and he made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night to discuss his near death experience.

While discussing that horrific day, Renner opened up by saying:

“I got lucky in a lot of ways. I’m happy to be here.”

And when Kimmel pointed out that his lung collapsed, Renner hilariously responded:

“Yeah that’s fine, I have another one.”

Perhaps the most intriguing part of the segment, was when the Mayor of Kingstown actor admitted that he got kicked out of the first ICU he was in, which was under construction, and he had to be put in what he described as a “janitor’s closet,” and it resembled a “haunted house.”

He admitted while hopped up on medication, he made a scene to the nurses.

He said:

“I’m going back to this hospital this week to apologize to every one of those nurses.”

And another detail that wasn’t released to the public, was that his eye actually popped out from his head when the snowplow ran over him.

He said:

“It just missed every vertebrae, did not hit any organs. My brain did not swell.

My eye did pop out. That’s weird. But I got pretty lucky that none of the organs got messed up.”

Yeah, I guess you could say the injuries were “much worse than anybody knows,” considering his whole eye ball was out of his socket at one point.

Nevertheless, it’s great to see that Renner is in good spirits.
