Charley Crockett’s Performance Of “Trinity River” From The Ryman Is Pure Electricity

Charley Crockett country music

It is no lie that Charley Crockett is one hell of a performer.

This past week the soulful country artist released a live performance video and audio track of “Trinity River” recorded at The Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.

“Trinity River” is one of my top tracks from The Man From Waco. The track features heavy trumpet parts and soulful piano riffs. The blues-inspired song makes you feel like you are in a dive bar in New Orleans.

I thought I couldn’t love this song anymore… and that’s until The Ryman performance came out.

The whole performance is pure electricity.

The crowd goes wild as the opening trumpet notes blare out from the stage. This version of the tune still keeps the original blues sound but has some more grit. The piano parts are replaced with a heavier steel guitar and percussion section.

Don’t even get me started on his vocals. Dare I say they sound better than they do from the studio recording?

Watching Crockett sing is mesmerizing. He is so in tune with the words he sings and pulls out some notes deep from his diaphragm to keep up with the grit his band is throwing down.

The crowd loses their mind when the song wraps up and you can feel the energy of the room.

I wouldn’t be opposed to more tracks from this night coming to light.

Looking to catch this live? Check out his upcoming tour dates. There are plenty coming up that you can catch.
